We came here by car.
They have a very large parking lot.
Very good location
The check-in ladies were very friendly.
And also took the initiative to help us book restaurants and taxis in the city
There is a very comfortable lounge area on the first floor

It is also free for guests to use.
The most amazing thing is that the hotel actually has a small library space
You can drink coffee and read quietly.
The Japanese style room we stayed in was also great

"Highly recommended! For this price, you get a hot spring bath, and we happened to be there during a sake promotion – over 20 kinds of sake to try, plus a ton of vinegar! It was an amazing deal! The rooms were also quite spacious. It's a hotel I'd definitely recommend to friends!"

"Miyazaki is a small city so getting around is not difficult if you stay in this hotel. There is a few local buses to the hotel from the JR Miyazaki station. Within walking distance of 10min you can find almost everything from shopping to izakaya. The best part I like is the sauna and hot spring. It has outdoor and indoor hot spring baths and sauna. Amenities in the public bath is complete with lotion, tonic, hair gel, shaving form and even towel is provided so you don't need to bring your own. Overall, a great hotel."

"Perfect for Families - Spacious and Comfortable!
We stayed in the residence-type room and it was perfect for our family trip. The room was very big, giving everyone plenty of space, and it felt more like an apartment than a standard hotel room. It was clean, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend Mango Hotel for families looking for a spacious and convenient place to stay. Used automated check in and out service hence can’t realky review the service."

"Counter staff was very friendly and able to speak inEnglish or chinese.
Check in was swift, using automated counter with staffs helping.
Room was smaller than expected. Only offered 1 pillow per pax but we requested for extra and they provided.
We paid $250 without bkf which ee felt its high for the room size and location.
There is 1 sushi restaurant must try, Take Sushi! Rem to call for booking!"

AAh HueiA nice hotel to rest after a long day drive. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly and polite. There's a free parking beside the hotel too. And you can enjoy the hot spring in the hotel for free. There is a small bath tub in the room's toilet too. This hotel is quite close to 高干穗峡. The reason I choose this hotel is because of the distance to 高干穗峡 and they are the most affordable hotel within that area. Overall this is a nice hotel, I will definitely visit there again if I go to Kyushu again!

TTatianaK.From the bottom of my heart, I’d like to thank all staff of the hotel. My 11-old son and I stayed there for just one night, because we were on our way to visit gorgeous Toungenkyu hydrangeas park in the other town, so we chose to stay in Hyugashi, and that was definitely the right decision! I didn’t know that there was no public transportation assess to the park, because it’s located far upon to the mountains. But I never give up So, I decided to get to the park by hitchhiking! And one of kind managers of the hotel wrote the name of the park in Japanese characters on a big sheet of paper to be seen from far apart for drivers. Besides, he told us where it could be possible to stop a car. So we did it! First, we went to the nearest town by train, and tried the hitching there. There was a nice lady who took us to the park and back to Hyugashi, we were so grateful to her!!! The local people were kind to us everywhere whenever it was a restaurant or a station. We will never forget the kindness of the local people!!!
We liked that izakaya on the first floor in the building. Moreover, we liked that nice quiet town Hyugashi because of its people! We wish you all the best!!!

GGuest UserThe room is big with all the amenities. Our room is facing the sea, we were able to see the sun rise, super gorgeous! The onsen is also great, free for us, and it is open to the public with surcharge. The hostel location is 10/10, close to the Aoshima island, and there is a big park nearby! We enjoyed our stay.

GGuest UserWe stayed for 2 nights, excellent location & amenities. Room was spacious, clean and very modern. USB ports available next to bed, fully functional room. Bed and pillows were soft & comfortable. Breakfast was excellent; both qualities and selection. Paid car parking just behind hotel, at reasonable flat rate per nite. We love to use the JR hotels, the hotels are always at strategic location and highly rated.

MMei OFriendly staff and clean lodging.
We booked half board which was worthwhile as the food quality was great and especially when restaurants close early within the area, saved us looking for dinner. However, there are a few time slots we need to abide to, which is fine as attractions usually are closed by late afternoon anyway.
There is onsen in this accommodation, but it's not big. Enclosed onsen with no external views, and the water has some medical component added thus making the water reddish which may deter guests not accustomed to the color.
The Ryokan location is convenient for walking to a few attractions (for those who enjoy walking about 15-30mins to either attraction), which include Takachiho Kagura performance (pre-booking required), Takachiho Gorge, Takachiho Amaterasu Railway - scenic train ride.
Do note the train rides cannot be pre-booked, and end by 3PM in the afternoon.
And Takachiho Gorge Boat Rental should be pre-booked, with time slot bookings open 7 days before.

ののむならのむMiyazaki Kanko Hotel stands along Tachibana Koen-dori Street (1-1-1 Matsuyama, Miyazaki City, Miyazaki Prefecture, 880-8512) overlooking the Oyodo River.
It is a large, well-established hotel.
There is a large hot spring bath on the first floor of the West Wing, and on the second floor is Shokusai Kenbi Ichiboku Ichiso, where the breakfast buffet is located. A dinner buffet is also available.
The hotel is old, so there is nothing new about it, but the rooms are spacious, the utility room is spacious, and the bathtub is also large.
There is only an AC outlet for power, no USB, and the AC at the desk has to be plugged in through a wall socket at the foot of the desk, which gives it a sense of history, but this is not a problem.

MMoon RockThis is the best decision I’ve made during my trip in Miyazaki. I should have stayed longer here than I did in the previous booking. Almost everything is almost perfect, from the artificial hot spring to the traditional Japanese bedrooms, which are great additions to the Japanese experience. I believe it is one of the most affordable hotels in the area.
The breakfast is a buffet that is included in my stay, and I had to add the Dinner buffet, which is very worth the price since the place doesn't have many restaurants nearby. The hotel is also within a 5-10 minute walk from the JR train station. The staff are also friendly.
I definitely will be back here when I revisit Miyazaki soon. The day I visited was rainy, so I was unable to visit many places.

GGuest UserWe enjoyed our stay at Hotel Shikimi. The staff was delightful. They were all so nice and helpful. We also loved the food and they went over and beyond to accommodate our dietary needs. The location was perfect for walking to local tourist spots. If I ever return to Takachiho, I would stay there again.

YYongchuangtianyahahahaThe room was very clean, but it was a bit inconvenient that there was no kettle and only disposable paper cups. It's quite a distance from the station, so you need to take a bus to get there and back. Breakfast was very simple, just two rice balls, which was actually perfect for someone who doesn't usually eat breakfast, as I could take them to eat on the train.
