"Located right next to the Ure River, with a nice view from the room. As it has only 5-6 rooms, it is pretty exclusive. You can use their 2 hotspring baths privately for 45mins each time, or you can take a short walk over to their 2 sister hotels for bigger hotspring baths. This is the only hotel in the Hazu Group that serves Medicinal Cuisine. As the hotel seems to be converted from a traditional old house, the stairways can be cramped and not suitable for bringing large suitcases, so just pack a small bag and leave the suitcase downstairs or in the car. Had a relaxing time there."

"It was nice that they offered a welcome drink. They also had a lid so I could take it home when I checked out. The curry for breakfast was delicious. There wasn't much parking, but I was grateful that I could park there for free. I arrived just before 11pm, but there was one car available, which was nice. The accommodation fee was also quite reasonable, so I was very satisfied."

"This is one of the best hotel I ever stayed in Japan! Good location, friendly 24 hours front desk staff with one of them speak very well English because he worked in Malaysia before. A few others also able to understand and speak basic English.
Delicious affordable breakfast, mum was very happy!

"It is a hotel with a feeling of cleanliness and nice facilities. The atmosphere of feeling the flowers and the sea is attractive, and it is recommended for those who want to spend a relaxing time.
The welcome drink was also good. The music restaurant had a nice atmosphere and I enjoyed the meal time. The additional raw seafood dishes ordered were fresh and very delicious.
It is a hotel that I want to visit again."

Guest UserAsked for a room, got the exact opposite of what I requested.
High floor away from lift. So they gave me almost the lowest floor, literally next to the lifts. I booked months in advance, too.
The lift itself isn't noisy, but obviously guests are. And sadly these guests were Japanese locals. A family who clearly had zero control over their children.
Other problems, the onsen has no cold bath, all three baths are the same temperature, and the reclining bath has no purpose except to allow you to lie down. Plus seeing someone the member of a certain family covered in tattoos is a little frightening for my son. All this despite the signs stating no tattoos.
Location is great for metro lines and for the IG Arena, if that's the reason for your visit.
I would also appreciate the same manners in English that the staff provide local Japanese. Especially if the staff is already fluent in English. We too have polite ways of speaking to customers.

Plexus27Location is superb at Sakae area, with 24hr Donki just opposite and a Family Mart at the ground floor. Stores around include Uniqlo, GU, Daiso, ABC Mart, 3 Coins +, drug stores etc. It's walking distance around 10mins to Oasis 21 bus terminal for the direct bus to and fro airport, which I find is more convenient than taking the train as would need to exchange subway line at Nagoya station. Front desk service is good and friendly. We love the free Miso soup and drinks provided, and also amenities like facial wash, moisturiser, mask, very thoughtful gesture. They also help to store my luggage when i went for Takayama for a few days before coming back to check in again for another few days. Queen size bed room is considered spacious, bed is comfy. Just that the pillow that they provided is some kind of special functional pillow but is too thin and flat for my liking. Overall a great stay :)

Guest UserThe hotel's location is great, and the front desk staff were very enthusiastic and communicated well in English. The room was a bit small, but the bathroom and toilet were relatively spacious. The only minor drawback was that the washbasin was inside the room, and the sound of running water could easily disturb others sharing the room.

Anonymous UserI came for a concert, and the hotel is right behind Niterra, so it was super convenient to just step out. It's also very close to Kanayama Station, which made shopping and getting to the airport easy. For Japan, the room size was decent and had all the necessary amenities. The lobby offered free coffee, and they even thoughtfully wrote a message for concert-goers.

Anonymous UserStayed for 6 consecutive days. The breakfast selection was good, and it's a 10-minute walk from the station. A taxi ride would just be the minimum fare. There are plenty of shopping malls, drugstores, and restaurants nearby. I'll be staying here again on my way back.

Guest UserArrived in Nagoya late at night, and it started raining as soon as we got to the hotel. We initially went to the wrong hotel next door, which is part of the same group. The staff were very kind, confirmed our reservation, and even walked us over to the correct hotel for check-in, providing us with umbrellas. There's a convenient store downstairs, which was super handy. The next morning, we walked about ten minutes to Meitetsu Nagoya Station to catch a bus to Takayama. I'll definitely be back next time.

TheGuestThe room is decently sized with a comfortable bed, and the friendly staff and convenient location made our stay great. However, do note that there are no baby amenities (e.g. baby toothbrush, baby shower gel, sponge, etc) provided. Also, for drivers, the parking lot closes at 10 PM, so you’ll need to be back by then. Since we were traveling with a toddler, the early closing time didn't bother us.

Guest UserAs a long-standing five-star hotel, the facilities are very well-maintained, and the entire front office service is professional and rigorous. However, the housekeeping and cleanliness in the guest rooms don't quite match the hotel's overall standard. I stayed for 6 days and the dust on the bathroom light fixture was so obvious yet it wasn't cleaned. I won't even mention other details. The service quality from the South Asian staff needs improvement.

This was my second stay at this hotel. Compared with my previous visit about 5–6 years ago, the facilities are starting to show their age.
The air conditioner was leaking water, and the bathtub drained very slowly. After just 2–3 minutes of showering, the water had already risen above my ankles, which was quite inconvenient.
Other than these maintenance issues, everything else was fine. I hope the hotel will consider improving these facilities, as I otherwise had a pleasant stay.
