"The hotel is located about 12 km from the city. It's best to have your own car here or pay 10 dinars one way for a taxi, which you need to arrange at the front desk. No ride-hailing apps work in Aqaba, which is very inconvenient. The rooms are excellent, spacious, and most importantly, clean! We arrived early and were checked in without any issues (thanks to Svetlana, the Russian-speaking staff member). She also arranged a taxi for us. You can bring your own alcohol into the hotel and consume it, but pre-prepared food is not allowed. The only downside is the weak internet, but we had local SIM cards so it wasn't a problem for us. Definitely recommend visiting! P.S. The tap water is very soft... sometimes this could be considered a drawback."

"The camp's location is simply excellent: easy to reach, practically right off the main road, yet completely secluded from the hustle and bustle, immersing you in a true desert atmosphere. We pre-booked an 8-hour jeep tour and it was absolutely worth it! In one day, we covered all the iconic spots in Wadi Rum: Khazali Canyon, Burdah Bridge, the sand dunes, and finished by watching the sunset deep in the desert. Upon returning to camp, an incredibly delicious dinner awaited us (the famous zarb, slow-cooked underground), live Bedouin music, dancing around the bonfire, and aromatic tea – we were fully immersed in the local culture and hospitality. The room turned out to be surprisingly comfortable: clean, cozy, with hot water and all basic amenities, which is especially valuable in a desert setting. The staff was very attentive, and the grounds were well-maintained."

"Convenient location, no transfer needed as we arrived by rental car. The breakfast wasn't particularly varied, but it was hearty. The staff were friendly. A downside was that the air conditioning couldn't cope with the desert heat. The shower had no hot water, which was fine in the evening but not very comfortable in the morning. However, the view from our tent made up for everything."

"Stayed one night. Nice beach hotel. There are few tourists, probably due to the proximity of Israel. You cannot bring your own alcohol, they have it at the hotel. For comparison, a bottle of sparkling wine in a store costs 12-15 dinars, in a hotel - 60! Drink under the hotel fence). You can negotiate, but only if you take something from them. And so all is well). Breakfast is good, lots of choice. For dinner we went outside the hotel grounds."

"We stayed here as a family in a bubble tent during our trip to Wadi Rum, and overall we had a very positive experience. The owner, Eid, was genuinely attentive from the very beginning. Shortly after we made the reservation, he contacted us by email and stayed in touch throughout the process. He truly does his best at every stage to make sure his guests are comfortable and satisfied. We really appreciated that level of care and communication. The location of the camp is beautiful and peaceful. Even though the weather was partly cloudy, we were still able to see the stars at night, which was very special. Dinner was excellent, with a wide variety of dishes. The vegetable options were especially delicious and thoughtfully prepared. We also joined a jeep desert tour, which turned out to be one of the highlights of our stay. Our guide (I unfortunately forgot his name) was friendly and made the experience both enjoyable and comfortable. Traveling with two children, we felt safe, relaxed, and well taken care of throughout our stay. I would happily recommend this camp to other families visiting Wadi Rum."

"Un hôtel incroyable avec une vue imprenable. Le service est super. Un peu cher en hors saison. Malheureusement nous n’avons pas eu de chances nous avons eu une tempête de sable et de pluie et n’avons pas pu profiter pleinement de l’hôtel ni des étoiles du wadi rum. La piscine était trouble à cause du sable. En dehors de ça, je le conseille vivement."

Hi! I'm Suleiman, the owner and founder of Wadi Rum Sky in the Wadi Rum Protected area. I want to personally welcome you to the wonders of the desert and teach you all about our traditional Bedouin ways. I'm a child of the desert and I'm excited to show you the beauty of our land while I share the intricacies of our culture with you. My camp, Wadi Rum Sky is your gateway to all this... and more! At Wadi Rum Sky, we offer all the Bedouin-style tea you can drink while we share our heritage with you, through stories around the campfire. We also offer deliciously simple local foods, including the traditional, in-the-ground barbecue known as Zarb. If you want to explore the nature and history surrounding the camp, I'll be happy to organise amazing, personalised jeep tours, calm and relaxing camel tours, or enthralling hiking tours just for you. I invite you to explore the desert with us and I will ensure that your time with us is simply unforgettable.

"It was a wonderful two days! We absolutely loved our stay in the desert and at this campsite. The room had everything we needed, even robes, a nice bonus. We were surrounded by incredible views and the wonderful people who work there. The food was delicious, and we never left hungry. We went on an unforgettable jeep tour to several locations and saw a stunning sunset. Everything was simply wonderful! I definitely recommend this place to everyone. If I return, it will definitely be here. Thanks to everyone who runs the campsite! I have only one small drawback, or even a suggestion: install a fan in the room and your stay will be even more wonderful!"

We had a very bad experience during check in. Despite explaining that we were very tired & hungry (as it's already almost 8 in the evening), and we just need to check in immediately & have dinner; the staff at the reception denied our confirmed & paid reservation at trip.com. The staff knew that we were very tired, and we even offered to guarantee reservation with our credit card (just so we get the room & can have dinner); but he insisted to keep us waiting until he can get the response from trip.com. After waiting for so long, he said that still no responses from trip.com and he just asked us to wait forever. I got really upset after a long argument with him; and i have to strongly argue with him to give us room & we paid with our credit card for a new reservation. WE NEED A ROOM! I showed him the amount I paid for the Seaview Room charged in USD. (I just realised the next day that he charged me the wrong amount instead of calculating it to USD amount with the correct convertion). So i was charged a wrong amount as I was too tired to check how much he charged me. After a long argument & waiting, he finally gave me the room key; and said sorry for the waiting. They said that they will upgrade the room as an apologies. Just when we were in the room, I found out that they DID NOT upgrade the room. That's exactly the room I booked at trip.com; just I had to pay again with my credit card with a much higher rate! I was to tired to argue with the staff, so I no longer care after calling them saying they didn't upgrade us! This staff didn't even try to change the room; after we said this is not an upgrade. We PAID for this room category at trip.com. Nobody apologies for these so many mistakes from the staffs or management. When we checked out, the manager asked me how was our stay? He was not even aware that WE HAD ISSUES that they denied our paid & confirmed booking! Trip.com finally settled this issue with the hotel, and the hotel returned our overpaid credit card charged. Trip.com apologies a few times, they made many efforts to call us a few times. But the hotel & the management acting as if nothing happened! Is this really how a 5 stars hotel service? Luxury what? They treated us like a homeless person begging for room! So UNACCEPTABLE! I have never experienced staying in a 5 stars hotel with such a BAD service like this! This is the worst in our history of travel! This place must keep their act together! Learn hospitality BETTER! Overall, we were very disappointed, & this place is far from Luxury Collection, it's a CHEAP collection!

Everything was fine, but I faced a problem with the lack of availability. For example, I contacted the receptionist in the morning and asked for the room to be cleaned and for my shoes to be changed (the room was cleaned, but the shoes were not provided). In the evening, I asked for the shoes to be provided, and the receptionist replied, ”Immediately,” but my request was not met.

Our stay at Shaheen Camp was an incredible experience, even though we were transferred to Hasan Zawaideh Camp due to the low season. Since the camps are next to each other, and likely have the same owners, the transition was seamless, and we were warmly welcomed upon arrival. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. The staff made sure we felt at home, offering delicious tea, traditional dance, and live music, creating a truly immersive Bedouin experience. The variety of tours and activities they provided allowed us to explore the breathtaking landscapes of Wadi Rum in an unforgettable way. The food was outstanding—authentic, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Every meal felt like a special occasion, adding to the magic of our stay. The only minor point for improvement was the bed setup, as it was made up of two single beds combined, but honestly, this was such a small detail compared to the overall incredible experience we had. If you’re looking for a welcoming, authentic, and memorable stay in Wadi Rum, I highly recommend Shaheen and Hasan Zawaideh Camp. I would gladly return for another unforgettable adventure!

We really enjoyed our stay at UFO Luxotel. One thing to note is that the hotel is not within the Wadi Rum protected area, so it is about 5 minutes drive to the main gate. The hotel does have some partnership with the local bedouins who can take you on a desert or camel tour, but it is better to liaise with the local bedouin on your own. The bubble tents are really nice, made of plastic, comes with a standing shower, washbasin and a comfortable bed. There is air conditioning inside the tent. Outside the tent, there is a hammock and some chairs. At night, the weather in the desert can get quite cold so we enjoyed the special fur blanket provided in the room. There was a stargazing photography course but we did not sign up for it. The food was absolutely delicious, from the dinner with local dishes and underground baked lamb, to the breakfast buffet. Since our tent was quite far from the entrance, there was a buggy to send us to our room. But on the day of the checkout, after calling reception, the buggy took a bit longer than expected. Overall we enjoyed our stay in the desert in these luxury tents, and the price was affordable.
