"By far the worst hotel experience I have ever had, and I will not be coming back when I return to Budapest. First thing was the booking details, which clearly stated ”1 full bed”. However when I got to the hotel room, there were two TINY beds instead. If I laid perfectly straight on these beds, my arms nearly fall off the sides. I go to reception and the blonde woman who was there at 11:10pm on Wednesday May 20th told me ”we don't have any large beds in Hungary, we just push two small beds together.” This is a lie, I had just spent 8 days in Budapest at the Park Plaza (also a 4 star hotel) and I slept in a single very large bed every night. When I mentioned this, she just shrugged. No apologies. Why does this matter? Two mattresses pushed together creates a gap that results in aggravating back pain, especially for anyone with spine misalignment like I have. I booked this hotel to go to the airport energized and refreshed, instead I get to go on my international flight exhausted with extreme back pain. Second issue was the water, the absolute hottest that it got was lukewarm. I asked reception about this issue too, same woman said she'd look into it. It was never fixed, no apologies for the inconvenience again. The room was hotter than the ”hot” water. The only positives about this hotel were the decent breakfast and free airport shuttle, but I'd rather have spent $8 on an Uber and had a full bed as promised. I'll be staying at the Ibis Styles or TRIBE next time. They probably don't lie about their rooms."

"The room was as cute as pictured. I stayed for 3 days, but I was bothered by the smell in the bathroom. I don't think the exhaust fan was working. It was fine when showering, but it was a shame that there was a strong sewage smell when I woke up and went to the bathroom or before showering. Also, there are shops within walking distance of the hotel, but after 8 PM, when it gets dark, I felt that the area was less safe compared to the Buda Castle area. The subway and buses were very convenient as they accepted credit card tap payments, but I think it would be more economical for guests staying at this hotel to buy and use a pass. The subway fare was a flat 500 HUF, regardless of distance."

TRIBE Budapest Airport hotel is a stylish 4-star-superior hotel that's conveniently connected to the main airport terminal. With its naturally lit 150-seat conference room, Californian-inspired restaurant and cool modern interior, TRIBE Budapest Airport is the perfect base for business travellers attending meetings or families looking to explore the city. Expect everything you need and nothing you don't at this colourful TRIBE hotel near Budapest Airport, with high-class service included as standard.

"What stands out about this hotel is its high standard of cleanliness and excellent sound and thermal insulation. You won't hear any aircraft noise (an important consideration given its proximity to the airport). Nor will you hear the air conditioning system, as if you let the AC cool the room before bed, it will stay fresh throughout the night without needing to be on. It's an excellent option if your flight arrives late, as it's just 250 meters from the arrivals terminal exit. There's a covered walkway, so no transportation is needed. This way, rest after your flight is almost immediate. The buffet breakfast is superb. There are four sections: hot dishes (scrambled eggs, bacon, beans), pastries (including gluten-free options), dairy products, and fruits, and finally, cold cuts and typical Hungarian products. These are complemented by a bar area. Everything is meticulously maintained, with dispensers to prevent product exposure (refrigerated butter or individually dispensed jams). Truly enjoyable. I really liked the room details and the sustainability policy. They offer filtered water in the hallways leading to the rooms, and there are separate recycling bins. The reception service is efficient and very friendly. They also display flight information on a screen."

"Conveniently located right by the subway, this hotel is great for business travelers. It has a small balcony, and the room, though a bit compact, was very clean and well-equipped, even with a mini-fridge. My only minor complaint was that the AC couldn't be adjusted and was a bit noisy. The staff were all very friendly, so overall, I had a good experience."

"The biggest issue with most chain hotels in Europe during the summer is their energy saving measures… particularly with the air conditioning. It's shockingly bad! First, you have to go downstairs and ask for it to be activated, but even then, you never really have effective control over the temperature. This was the main problem – a hot room due to inadequate AC cooling. Good location, nice rooftop, and attentive staff, but the AC was hot 🥵!"

"For one night, yes. But for a longer stay, only a really attractive low price would convince me, because otherwise, everything looks pretty tired. The sofa is saggy. There's a kettle and an iron, which is really great. Complimentary water is also a nice touch. There's also luggage storage, which we used."

"This hotel has many great features, offering unobstructed views of the Parliament building. The bed in the room was very comfortable, and the night view of the Parliament from the room was stunning. It's also very convenient to catch the tram right outside the hotel. The only minor drawback was that we were assigned a first-floor room where the view was partially obstructed by tram cables, and there was no option to choose a higher floor when booking. Despite that, it's a very good hotel overall."

"Breakfast was included in the price, and we were always full. They had three types of cheese, two kinds of sausage, coffee, tea, and juices. Sometimes fruit would run out early, but then everyone would get some. There were also scrambled eggs, beans, vegetables, and delicious pastries. Cereal was available for kids. Our room was 509. The air conditioning worked well, but it was positioned right in front of the bed and blew directly on us. Towels were changed daily, and they provided water. We checked out late at night, and they kindly prepared a takeaway breakfast for us beforehand. They were very thoughtful, wrapping sandwiches with butter, cheese, and sausage in film. The hotel's location is fantastic; you can walk everywhere. Make sure to buy your tram and metro tickets in advance. They are valid for two years from the date of purchase. I didn't know this, hopped on a tram, and within a second and a half, a ticket inspector approached me. I offered him money for the fare, but he demanded a ticket. I was immediately fined 12,000 forints. I didn't even have time to understand what was happening. Despite that, the hotel is good, and I would stay here again. The location is awesome!"

The staff were friendly. During check-in, they specifically asked if we preferred a quiet room or a street-facing room. Since we're not bothered by noise, we chose a street-facing room. To our surprise, we couldn't hear any traffic noise once we got to the room. Over our 3-night stay, we only occasionally heard ambulance sirens, so the soundproofing was excellent! The downside is that the nearest subway exit (Exit N) doesn't have an elevator, only stairs. Also, our room was up four steps after exiting the lift, but that wasn't an issue for us. The street view was great, the room was spacious, had a bathtub, and ample air conditioning. The location is convenient with a subway station and bus stop nearby. Overall, highly recommended!👍🏻

The individual space is very spacious, and I can even stand up straight. The locker is big enough for a large suitcase, which is a huge plus! You can also borrow towels, and the bathrooms are large and clean. There's also a hairdryer. The price was great too, so I'd love to stay here again next time I'm in Budapest.

Booked this for my elderly family members. If you have a car, this hotel is definitely the best choice! It's worth noting that the parking lot downstairs is not the hotel's free parking. We ended up getting a ticket for 9900 Forints.

The location is very convenient if you need to get to the airport early in the morning. However, it's a bit far from the city center—it's the last metro station. The reception staff are friendly and patiently answer questions. The room is quite spacious, with a small hallway with a closet. The room has a table, chairs, a mini-fridge, air conditioning, and a kettle. It's nice that they provide coffee and tea (unlike the hotel of the same name). Everything is clean, with good linens and fresh towels. The Wi-Fi is good. Although there are cars in the courtyard, it's quite quiet. Breakfast is a bit pricey—around 11 euros. A definite downside is the mini-fridge, which barely cools even on the highest setting. Overall, the experience was favorable and I highly recommend it.

My recent stay at Bristol Budapest Hotel was an excellent experience from start to finish; I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting Budapest. I arrived at around 02:00, and despite the late hour, check-in was completely seamless. The staff were clearly expecting me; this made the whole process quick and effortless; exactly what you want after a long journey. The room itself was immaculately clean and very well presented. I appreciated the small touches; like the fridge stocked with a bottle of water, which can be replenished simply by taking it down to reception. The bed was very comfortable, with soft, high-quality linen that made for a great night’s sleep. There was also a good tea and coffee setup in the room; a welcome addition. Even though my room faced the street, I slept with the window open and wasn’t disturbed by noise at all; something that really stood out. The bathroom was spacious enough, with plenty of clean towels and some lovely complimentary toiletries. At one point I needed an iron and ironing board; reception provided both immediately without any fuss; which summed up the efficiency of the service throughout my stay. Breakfast was a real highlight. I had seen some mixed reviews beforehand, but I genuinely don’t understand why. The selection was extensive; covering both continental and hot options. Everything was beautifully presented, tasted great, and was constantly replenished and well maintained. It was easily one of the best parts of my stay. What truly sets this hotel apart, though, is the staff. Every single person I encountered was friendly, helpful, and welcoming; always with a smile. That level of hospitality made a big difference. Overall, this is a solid and reliable option for anyone visiting Budapest; I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.
