"Hotel layout was lovely, room was exactly what you would need. Shower was a bit small but still good. Bed was comfy. Swimming pool and facilities were excellent with lockers to store your stuff in free of charge. Reception staff were very attentive and very helpful. Foyer bar food was good and sitting area was very chilled. We did find that the bar staff amongst the hotel were a bit rude at times, customer service could have been better in that regard. Buffet at the restaurant was a bit disappointing, not a huge range of food and for £15 each for breakfast and £25 each for dinner; it was not value for money. Location was spot on, a 2 minute drive or 20 minute walk to the Rothiemurchus centre and 50 minute walk or 5 minute drive to the village. Overall a very nice stay and would happily visit again."

"The hotel provided an overall satisfactory stay. The location was convenient, and the staff were generally polite and helpful. The room was clean, although the facilities appeared somewhat dated and could benefit from improvement. The breakfast offered a reasonable selection, but the quality was average. "Room was very good and clean but it turned out that you could hear every move of the people in the room above. At 6 am this particular person decided to do his 10000 steps a day in his room and it sounded as if an elephant was marching through. No way to continue your sleep so we ended up having to get up and we left the hotel at 7.15am. I had complained the night before but since the hotel was fully booked there were no other options. I was told it was because of the wooden structure so obviously it was a known issue and they should NOT book both rooms at same time.
They also had 2 dogs behind unmanned reception and one of them yapped continuosly for an hour whilst we had our dinner. As we finished dinner they started bringing out cornflakes etc for breakfast for the following morning and left this uncovered, thought this was very unhygienic.
Alcohol prices way too high too ( bottle of wine £35.50). All in all not a good experience and wouldn't recommend."

"Good location however parking was very limited. We were staying 2 nights and didn’t manage to get a space resulting in us having to pay for parking when the website stated free parking it was a big factor in choosing this hotel. The decor is very dated and scruffy but rooms are clean. Rooms don’t get made up daily unless you request. The windows were very draughty resulting in us keeping the curtains drawn shut. The windows were obscured anyway so you couldn’t use them as a window so guess it didn’t matter. The staff on the desk were polite and efficient."

"Just back from staying in the West End Hotel Nairn and had a great weekend room spacious clean and tidy hotel very covid conscious was staying B&B my only negative was the breakfast although what you got was very good and freshly cooked to order choice was limited to 7 items from a possible 10 and it was either continental with juice,yogurt,cereal and porridge or a cooked breakfast of 7 items I would have liked fruit juice to start and only one slice of toast we were never offered more tea coffee or toast either day, don’t get me wrong what you got was excellent but limited I thought. On the second night we had dinner and I must admit we were spoiled for choice I chose the lasagne with garlic bread my wife had Chicken Stroganoff with rice we had a portion of homemade chips and homemade onion rings all was cooked to perfection really could not fault anything will definitely return in the future "

"It's quite far, and it took more than half an hour to drive to Inverness. I was very satisfied with the hotel on this trip. It was like an ancient castle. I heard that many weddings are held here. The hotel is full of beautiful lights and stills of Charlie Chaplin. I also bought a beautiful window display in the hotel. I walked along the backyard of the hotel to the town and accidentally participated in the worship of local residents."

"A truly delightful hotel experience! The most comfortable hotel I stayed at during my ten-plus days in the UK! Located by the river, it has its own private garden and parking, making it very safe and convenient. The environment is quiet, beautiful, and pleasant! The room facilities are complete, with a convenient and practical separate wet and dry area. The bedding and towels were clean, dry, and comfortable. Disposable slippers, toothbrushes, cotton swabs, razors, combs, and sewing kits are provided – a rare find in British hotels! Every staff member was polite and helpful, proactively carrying our luggage to our room and patiently showing us to our preferred rooms. The food was delicious! Every detail of the service was meticulous and thoughtful! It was a wonderful experience. We even asked the hotel to arrange another night in a room on the ground floor with a balcony, where we could enjoy the lush green grass, towering trees, and birdsong – the essence of nature! We even discovered a wild Ganoderma lucidum mushroom on the grass – so delightful! I will definitely stay here again when I return to the Scottish Highlands!"

Hotel is located outside of the city centre. It takes 5 mins by bus and 25 mins by walk to reach the city centre. The bus stop is nearby. Not much food options near the hotel, only there are KFC and a fish and chips shop. The hotel is clean, room is cleaned every day. Breakfast is English style with same menu every day. The breakfast is served from 7 am which is late as we had to catch coach for daytrip which starts from city centre at 7:30. Though I had booked room with breakfast from Trip.com, the receptionist was asking to book the breakfast again as it seems trip.com doesn't share the breakfast booking with hotel. So receptionist asked to show the proof of breakfast booking which was awkward. Other than this minor issues, overall experience was good.

Awful. Initially I was in a double room. Women daily 0540 by loud music which I believe was the kitchen staff starting breakfast preparation. Moved to single room on my final night. The heating on full was the difference between having a cooler box or a freezer. No cable other than power cable for the TV so no reception whatsoever. This was pointed out to the reception desk who told me no maintenance staff were available due to rostering. A coaxial cable would probably resolve the problem. However that was not provided. The staff were polite but had their hands tied on what they could do to resolve the issues. Just an awful experience sadly as the hotel is in a prime position. Polite staff who had to attend to a number of embarrassing complaints from other guests.

DONGSHENGLocation is in the center of the city, it is very convenient to walk to the Castle Church shopping street, and three cars can be parked in the main hall. Breakfast is very good, Ctrip orders are not early, but the owner said that it is wrong, there should be breakfast. The warm host is very good. The downside is that the room supplies are generally graded and the bathroom is too narrow.

First let me say that the owners were incredibly kind and accommodating. It pains me that to even write this but I thought fellow travelers should hear my experience. First, there are two aye stays in Inverness. My gps took me to the wrong one first. That was awkward. After I finally figured it out, the place was very cutely decorated with Scottish and Loch Ness decor. Contactless check in was easy however a board with everyone’s name and room numbers does not feel super safe for me a solo female traveler. But over all easy enough. Next I stayed in room 7 which is up a flight of stairs so make sure you pack light! (Which you should do anyway in Scotland.) My room had just been renovated with new carpet but it smelled like off gassing and I had to open the window (which was broken) there was a radiator for heat which I had no idea how to use. So it got a little chilly. Now here comes the problems: the rooms are very close together and the walls are paper thin. I was kept up until 3 in the morning hearing conversations and snoring. We were only given the choice of receiving breakfast between 7:30-8:30 in the dining room. So I woke up earlier than I would have liked to eat breakfast. Which was just okay. Nothing too outstanding to write about but again the hostess was very sweet. Overall I could see that they’re trying their best. But I would recommend sound machines in each of the rooms or something so people can have a good nights sleep. The location was pretty good and just over the bridge from the high street.

The breakfast had a good range of choices and was delicious. The staff were polite and friendly and were very happy to fuss over my small child!

Really great Hotel. Cheapest around as well so don’t really get when people book cheap hotels and complain that it’s not 5* 😂. Location is amazing. The Loch is beautiful. Staff are really nice. Rooms have everything you need and are quite spacious. Food is really good although a wee bit expensive but still good sized portions.

The hotel was easy to find, located right by the main road. The rooms were quite small, and with luggage, the space felt a bit tight. However, there was a small outdoor balcony with a table and two chairs, which provided a nice spot to sit and eat.
The rooms looked modern and recently renovated. The bathroom was well-designed, featuring sleek black tiles and gold fixtures, and the hot water worked perfectly. One of the best features of the room was the separate sink area, along with a microwave and fridge. This was especially convenient for heating up food or enjoying ready-to-eat meals from the nearby Aldi if you’re too tired to head out. The room also came with a kettle, coffee, tea, and even a chocolate wafer as a thoughtful welcome touch.
There is no reception desk at this hotel, so it’s important to have internet access as check-in is fully digital. You’ll receive your room number via email just before your arrival. Make sure to complete the online pre-check-in to confirm your stay and receive further instructions.
Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient one-night stay.

Guest UserThis hotel located at the highland area of Scotland, I and my wife stayed at this hotel before we driving to Is of Skye.
The room is large and shower room is bright and clean enough. The beds and other equipment inside the room are satisfactory. My price include simple buffet breakfast which I think the food quality is good enough.
Only one disadvantage is, there's no lift and some rooms need to walk up and down staircase, if for elderly or too many luggage travelers, it may a bit inconvenient.
