"We have booked a long weekend stayed at the hotel in June. It is located close to the long beach which is great for a walk or a run. There is a fantastic cute cafe near the hotel called cafe on the beach. Coffee and pastries were excellent. Breakfast buffet was nothing special but acceptable for the price. Spa and pool facilities were great except that they charge you extra for bath robe and slipper. You have to ask at the reception for those. There is also no travel toothbrush tooth paste or shampoo. We were not expecting to pack them with us as we are used to having them provided by hotels which we have stayed. I would say this is the first time we have experienced this. Staffs were excellent, polite and very welcoming. It is worth staying if you travel close to the area."

"Days Inn proved to be a comfortable enough one-night stop-over choice. I found this hotel to be well-located, allowing for quick and easy access from the highway. With ample safe parking in the parking lot, EV charging facilities, and freestanding tap-to-pay self-service laundry machines available to use, it was nice to be able to refresh and reset for the following day without issue. The hotel's entrance sits directly opposite that of the Roadhouse rest which houses a varied selection of takeaway catering outlets, a Costa coffee shop, and WH Smith convenience shop amongst others can be found. The hotel's reception desk entrance shares a clean + suitably maintained garden/courtyard and picnic table seating, all within reach of the hotel's free wifi network, which proved useful. Despite arriving well before the stipulated check-in time, the front desk team was helpful and accommodating. An easy check-in + check-out process made for a budget-friendly, and hassle-free evening stop-over before continuing on with my Travels."

"This is an older Holiday Inn. I have to warn anyone booking a room here: if you're a couple, it's best to choose a room with two beds. One bed simply isn't big enough for two people; essentially, one person's shoulder will be hanging off the edge. Also, if possible, opt for a larger room. Standard rooms abroad really can't compare to those in China. The mattress is incredibly soft, making for a very uncomfortable sleep and back pain."

"I last visited Rowhill over 15 years ago. It has unfortunately lost its exclusive, luxury look and feel. Whilst bedrooms have changed and have a more modern look, the finish is not great and color choices not kind on the stains. They seem to have added a relaxation room which was a nice touch but. Slightly on the dark side to enjoy flicking through the magazines on offer. The bar food was better than nothing but plenty of room for improvement. Great breakfast though. Like a lot of these places the do not focus on the detail. The spa area now needs a loveing touch so it's on par with many of the new spas emerging or a good price review! Saying all that the staff were lovely, helpful and professional. I made the most of my stay and would still recommend."

"We had a last minute stay here and it’s good value for the price.
The spa was nice with all the facilities working properly, jacuzzi and steam rooms were hot.
The food was excellent quality, I’ve never had such a large and thick burger at any establishment but for £20 I’d expect this.
Room and cleaning was ok but a bit tired.
Lovely country pub about a five minute walk away and a large M&S and Costa next door.
The one thing that compromises the whole Orida brand is charging £6 for parking.
There is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON to charge this to staying customers and it’s a complete let down to the entire onsite service.
Theres no town or station within walking distance so why would you penalise your guests with this extra tax.
There’s a free car park next door in Costa or M&S so anyone using the hotel car park is clearly staying overnight.
Will not be staying again here until this is put right"

"This is a lovely hotel with extremely spacious rooms and en suites. The Orangerie dining room has a lovely outlook onto the peaceful grounds. Although we didn't have an evening meal there, we did enjoy the breakfast. The staff were extremely accommodating with our delightful little son/grandson of ten months and deserve praise for their hospitality.
We were there for a wedding at the nearby Beacon Hotel (four minute drive or 20 minite walk with a pram) so it was incredibly convenient.
As its a spa hotel, I felt obliged (!) to have a wonderful massage which although £110 was well worth it!
A 20 minute walk takes you to the charming Pantiles area of Tonbridge Wells which had lots of eateries and was very unusual - quite unexpected.
Everything about the hotel was great value. It could do with slightly updating in decor but I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again."

"The Holiday Inn staff are always smiling and every time they pass by the reception they are greeted warmly and feel like home. The hotel provides a buffet breakfast. There are not too many kinds of food, but it is good for us. Maria, the waiter in the restaurant, will say hello to each guest every day. During the conversation, we also deepened our understanding of the local culture. Other employees will be very busy in the restaurant and do everything. Sometimes there is a shortage of staff, and the chef will personally deliver hot food to the restaurant front desk, so that the guests can enjoy the rich as soon as possible. breakfast.

XXRMThis was genuinely a wonderful and most special place.
The Rocksalt Rooms are in a separate building to the Restaurant - but you check in at the latter and walk you over. Note all the streets here are cobbled, which can be slippery when wet.
They are a real BoltHole as they are described, and there are only four total. 2 on 1st floor, 2 on 2nd floor, with one per floor harbour facing. I'd definitely suggest that the upgrade is worth it.
The rooms are compact but exceptionally well presented. I've odd little niggles, theres no bedside of any kind - floating shelf would work, where do you put your mobile? And the metal bed frame is ornate and was loose on the footboard.
The biggest challenge is where to put things. There are a few hangers on the back of the door and a small set of hooks, but not a drawer or proper place at all. I get space is a real premium here - bedside with 2 drawers all you need!
The wet room is compact as everyone says. You won't keep the floor area outside the shower dry, it's not possible. The sink is a corner one with no space to place things but there is shelf in the bathroom for all your luxuries. The body wash / conditioner / hand soap / hand moisturiser are great quality.
Noise - it's by the Harbour so they start early, but for us it was part of the charm of the location, the fresh fish smell was totally incredible.
Breakfast is not to be missed, across in the restaurant with the best view, it's harbour side. Loved the granola, yoghurt, compote starter. I had English Breakfast as I was hungry, it was great quality but disappoining - it was more style over substance. The bacon is cooked to crispy, not my style at all but great quality. He had the Salmon & Eggs and it won hands down. Local, fresh, decent portion, on wonderful Sourdough. Luckily I was saved a bite.
A point or two more - the bedside light fused the circuit and the room was plunged into darkness. Looked for fuse box, could not find. Ended up in Restsurant. They had to get keys to a location they used to own but don't now (ground floor of the Rooms building). This took a while as the keys had to be obtained. I get how this used to work, but not now - the fuse box needs moving. The if we cant fix option was check out and refund - erm no!!
There is the most incredible Team member behind the Bar/ Restaurant from Bulgaria whose name I have really tsckily forgotten. For which I apologise.
She is truly wonderful and made the visit for me, id return solely to see her again!!!
Overall we loved Rocksalt Rooms and would return, to have dinner in the restaurant too!

北北海道綠悠遊The breakfast was plentiful, the staff were polite, and the room was clean. The hotel is located right next to the main street, making it convenient for getting around, and it's also close to the bus stop, where you can catch buses to Whistable, Dover, and more. From the hotel's rooftop restaurant, you can see the cathedral, and the evening view is beautiful.

Staff were great, breakfast was ok (selection of cooked breakfast, pastries, toast,cereals & fruit) and you’re greeted with that famous cookie! :)

AAnonymous UserThe room was bigger than expected and had a patio to sit out on, the bed was comfy and everything is situated a short walk from the mews rooms. I did notice the bathroom was a bit dirty and the hot water for the shower went completely this morning. The maintenance man had to come out and fix the boiler to rectify the issue.
The location is absolutely stunning and the gardens are well kept. It is really a beautiful part of the UK and the main manor building is lovely.
The gardenia restaurant is closed a few days of the week for dinner and also breakfast which I didn’t think was ideal. So we had to go outside to eat dinner as the spa restaurant wasn’t really what I was looking for, for a nice evening meal. For breakfast we had to go to the sage spa restaurant which had a very limited selection of food. There were about 6 dishes to choose from, they said The chef doesn’t cook scrambled egg which is a breakfast essential so I basically had to have a plate of toast. As there was nothing that I wanted on the menu and I was told the smoothie machine was broken so I couldn’t even opt for that instead. This happened straight after the hot water had gone so was a bit of a dampener. I came to the hotel a few years ago when you didn’t have to pay for the spa access but now you do which is a bit annoying. Especially as you can only visit during breakfast or dinner hours even with the £20 surcharge. So then you have to either eat very late at night or have a late lunch otherwise the £20 won’t be well spent and you’d have to leave the spa after an hour

BBracewell99I had a really enjoyable stay at the Carlton Hotel in Folkestone. The hotel is in a great location, making it easy to explore the town and the seafront, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout my stay.
The room was comfortable, clean and had everything I needed for a pleasant stay. The hotel has a traditional feel, which gives it plenty of character, and overall I found it to be good value for money.
Check-in and check-out were straightforward, and the whole stay was hassle-free. I’d happily stay at the Carlton again if I’m back in Folkestone and would recommend it to anyone looking for a reasonably priced hotel in a convenient location.

CChris J HornWhat an amazing hidden gem this is. Nestled on a hill top overlooking the marshes with Warehorn church over the road, this pub with rooms is a must for a romantic get away.
We arrived early and had a drink in the bar, which is beautifully quirky, a welcoming log fire burning and a wide selection of drinks.
We had booked ”Niddy” an attic room with so much to give, a comfy bed, roll top bath, and so much character.
The only ****** I had with the room, was the W.C squeezed into the roof space it was a little awkward to stand up and wee, but that's a small thing when it comes to such a great room.
Requesting a quiet table for dinner, we were given one in a side area and again we couldn't believe it, it was super romantic and we had the whole room to ourselves. Our waiter Muli was so good, he was attentive but not intruding, and so funny, we haven't had many meals out and he really did make the evening.
The food was excellent and the vegan burger was one of the best I have had.
The location was brilliant, if you're into walking, cycling, birdwatching or wanting to visit local sites (rye was only 20min drive away)
The rest of the staff were also brilliant, and couldn't do enough for us.
We will definitely return.

GGuest UserMy wife and I stayed for three nights to celebrate our anniversary. Our stay was exceptional and especially all the staff who couldn't do enough for us and with a smile and good humour. The service was spot on as was the food in the restaurant, we ate there on all three nights and enjoyed top cuisine, wines and beers. A special touch was the 'Happy Anniversary' slate with a couple of coconut ice sweets! The breakfasts were beautifully presented and cooked to perfection, although we found the bacon just slightly tough but totally edible. Superb poached eggs! As a comment fresh fish would have been a nice addition at breakfast although smoked salmon was available. The bed was very comfortable and the room spotless and with most of the facilities one would expect. It would have been helpful to have a non-slip mat for the bath as well as a grab handle for safety. Also soap dispensers next the shower would have been helpful. As the summer is extremely hot (2026) air conditioning was very welcome! The spa facilities were lovely too!
