Top rated hotels in Inner Mongolia

Hanbei Business Hotel Hohhot
4.1/557 Reviews
The hotel is about 4 kilometers away from the highway. The hotel is very convenient for parking and dining. There is a gas station more than 100 meters away from the hotel, so it is a good choice to take a break as a self-driving tour. In addition, hotel services and facilities are also good.
Saibei Station (Kubuqi Desert Wokuotai Branch)
4/5110 Reviews
Me, my wife, and 3y/o daughter took a family trip to Saibei Inn for October Golden Week 2023, and the experience was great. We were not interested in the normal Inner Mongolia trips that some agencies offer since they are travel intensive, so we stayed for 5 days and 5 nights in this location. If you’re solo or couple travelers, you might want to consider a few less days and do the more intensive trips to the grasslands, etc. Having been to Inner Mongolia previously, we knew what to expect (slow pace/relaxing/nature), however, my expectations were exceeded with the amount of land and activities that Saibei Inn offered! We were able to take a RZR to the desert every morning and give our daughter and ourselves some play-time, plus relaxation, as the desert area is huge and never busy. We saw a wild camel, went sledding, and walked the endless dunes. A car is quite necessary and almost everyone had one, but since we didn’t have one, the boss personally brought us out to get snacks, drinks, and such to keep in our hotel, set up airport pickup and drop-off in Baotou, and took us on any excursions we wanted. The dune buggy sunset ride was a thrill and nearby desert camel rides, “flying boat”, and zip line were appealing attractions as well. The downside were the bathrooms were a bit difficult to navigate since they have a wet shower and take time to dry, plus the shower head was constantly leaking, leaving a wet puddle in the middle. The carpet held the sand and plant material which also contained thorns, so could use more regular vacuuming, The lunch/dinner food was exceptional. The veteran cooks there have a natural knack for cooking great Chinese food with unique tastes. The actual menu is quite small, but the boss was more than happy to take our order in advance and buy the food we wanted at the local market for the next day’s meal. They also can cook virtually anything you want and have a load of different things in the kitchen, which can be seen from the seating area via a viewing window spanning the length of the entire wall. It was apparent that their meats were cooked over a long period of time, including tender stew-style beef & potatoes, and of courses delicious mutton! The downside of the food was that you couldn’t get out of there without spending a pretty penny. And being the only restaurant within miles/kilometers, you don’t have much of a choice. Another aspect that could be improved is the breakfast. There was a choice of mantou bread, porridge, and boiled eggs. All with very little flavor or appeal. We opted not to eat breakfast 4 out of the 5 days. Opt for bringing some protein bars, yogurt, or packaged breakfast if you stay, especially with toddler. The facilities and environment were fairly well-kept. The Inn was also under construction, not loud or anything, but there is a plan to expand and its evident with a few areas that have rubble around and whatnot. Having said that we were not disturbed by that aspect because we were not there for a pampered and pristine vacation. We stayed in the white yurts on the hill with 2 beds, and overall, the room was cosy and great during the chilly October mornings (A/C has heat) and beds were comfortable.

Orange Hotel (Tongliao Wanda Plaza)
4.8/5273 Reviews
Wanda Plaza
The hotel is in a good location, just over 10 minutes' walk to Wanda, with many choices for food. Downstairs is the hotel's own parking lot 🅿, which is convenient for parking. The facilities of a newly opened hotel are relatively new, and there is almost no taste. There are many varieties of breakfast. The yam, sweet potato, and corn that I like are all gathered together. I can't eat too much. I cooked wontons and cooked half a portion. The kitchen lady also kindly told me how many half portions there were and asked if it was enough. ~ Good reviews ~ The laundry room is open all day without limit. The overall stay was not bad. I will book again next time

The room lady was very friendly and attentive, and gave us 2 yogurts. The location is good! It's only a few minutes' walk to Wanda, very convenient. Five-star praise, I will choose next time
Geya Ziju Hotel (Moore City Art College Metro Station)
4.6/5930 Reviews
Drum Tower/Victoria Moore city/The General's Office
Geya Ziju Hotel is a high-end hotel in Hohhot. It is a smart hotel. There is dedicated service from Xiao Ai in the room. It is convenient and comfortable and adds a lot of fun. The smart toilet understands you very well. The front desk service guy is sincere and enthusiastic. The best thing is that the bed is neither soft nor hard to remind you of.
Xilamuren Grassland Mongolian Holy Land Resort
4.3/581 Reviews
Self-driving is very convenient. If you are not driving by yourself, you may need to go to Xilamuren Town by yourself, and the boss can pick you up. The service is not very attentive but very sincere and enthusiastic. The yurt we stayed in had 1/3 of the floor-to-ceiling glass windows, and we could see the stars all over the sky, which shocked me and my kids. It was really super beautiful. The facilities in the yurt are better than the pictures, and the lamb bone hot pot we had for dinner tastes good and authentic ~ Living in the urban jungle, coming to the endless grassland, my mind feels extremely open. July-August is the peak season. There will be bonfire parties and so on, and it should be very lively. When we came, there were only a few of us in the entire resort, and we found some peace amidst the hustle and bustle. The sky is clear, the fields are vast, and the wind-blown grass and cattle and sheep have become concrete at this moment. It is worth coming, and the store is also worth staying.
Tangxia Hotel (Hulunbuir Ancient City Branch)
4.7/5226 Reviews
Hulunbuir Ancient City/Yishidan Square
Jinjiang Inn (Hohhot Dazhao Affiliated Hospital Metro Station)
4.4/5759 Reviews
First Affiliated Hospital/Islamic Street
Jinjiang Inns are relatively basic, but generally clean & comfortable and this is no different. Staff generally don't speak much English (fine) but didn't have any major issues checking me in as a foreigner. The main benefit of this hotel is the location, right in the heart of Huimin & opposite the mosque and walking street.
