Despite the language barrier, he went above and beyond by communicating with us through a translator. He shared recommendations for local attractions, helped us order food, and even drove us to several locations around Zhangjiajie. Zhangjiajie East Gate Boutique B&B | 50 Meters from Scenic Area Entrance, Unparalleled Service, You Won't Want to Leave! For this trip to Zhangjiajie, we spent the first two nights enjoying a slow pace on the west side, then moved to the Guanzhi S B&B near the East Gate for the next two nights. This B&B positions itself as a boutique hotel, not just a regular guesthouse. From the moment you step in, you know it's something special – an artist's entrance, with an artistic atmosphere permeating every corner. The details are meticulously crafted. Many guests here are international tourists and discerning travelers who appreciate quality. It's no exaggeration to say this is the most thoughtful and attentive service I've ever experienced. 📍Location: 50 meters from the East Gate, 7-seater shuttle service provided The B&B is about 50 meters from the East Gate of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, making park access incredibly convenient. However, because it's so close to the scenic area, it's located in a restricted zone. ⚠️ You MUST use Didi (ride-hailing app) to get directly to the B&B's doorstep. Plus, the hotel offers a 7-seater shuttle service, so transportation is a breeze for families. It's also easy to find restaurants after leaving the park, as the area around the East Gate is full of eateries. 🛏️Bathtub King Room: Refined Down to the Details We stayed in a bathtub king room. The room isn't huge but is exquisite in every detail. The bedding is comfortable, and a relaxing soak in the tub at night washes away all the day's fatigue. If you need anything, just scan the QR code by the bed, and it'll be delivered in minutes – a godsend for busy parents! 👶Parents with Kids Rejoice! All These are Free! Forgot kids' toothbrushes, slippers, or shower gel? The B&B has it all; just ask the front desk, and they'll bring it to your room. There's also a 5 sqm kids' play area with a slide, building blocks, and a small rocking horse. 🗻Come for the the amazing views & park proximity, stay for the fantastic service 🚙‼️ 🛏️ The room had a super interesting layout- there was a sauna, a bathtub, and a space for a tea ceremony all rolled into the same room. It was very clean and spacious. 🍴🫧 Free breakfast and they will do your laundry for free as well! Just leave it in the basket outside of your door and it’ll be there washed when you return from whatever mountain. 🚙 THE CAR SERVICE. The hotel offers free airport/train station pickup, they’ll message you through trip.com for your travel details and someone will be waiting at the station to pick you up. They will also arrange a car to take you to whichever destination you choose in the mountain- they’re 10 minutes driving from the East Gate (Bailong Elevator Route if you’re trying to get tickets) or 45 minutes from Tianmen Mountain. They arranged cars for us in the morning both days. ☀️The hotel itself is situated next to some very beautiful mountains. Their staff were very polite and efficient! Our train got in very late (10pm) and through WeChat, we were able to arrange having food prepared for our arrival through the hotel’s restaurant. Thank you again!

The pictures match the actual place perfectly. The owner was incredibly helpful, booking discounted tickets for us, explaining routes, and planning our itinerary. We didn't have to worry about a thing; we trusted him completely! The room was really satisfying – spacious, bright, clean, and great value for money. It's the best choice for a trip to Wulingyuan.

If I could, I'd give it six stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Our Zhangjiajie trip was actually a last-minute change — we only decided to reroute here three days before arriving, during the second half of our journey. And honestly, choosing this guesthouse turned out to be the best decision I made. Right after booking, I reached out to the owner about the itinerary, routes, tickets — basically everything — and she saved us from so many potential headaches. When we got there, she sat down with us and went through the routes in detail, even pointing out some lesser-known spots that were totally worth it. That really helped us slow down and properly soak in this stunning natural wonder of a city. The location itself is super convenient — just a few minutes' walk from the east gate of the scenic area. There's parking out front, and the surrounding area is packed with shops, restaurants, and mini-marts, so you never have to go far for anything. The room? Clean, comfortable, and quiet — great for a solid night's sleep. Loved the smart home setup and the heated towel rack was a nice touch. There's also a few washing machines and dryers available, which was a lifesaver. They even put extra drinking water at the staircase for you to grab each morning before heading out, and you can borrow trekking poles and umbrellas too. But what really stood out was the owner and her brother — warm, thoughtful, and clearly running this place with a lot of heart. Thanks to them, we genuinely enjoyed our time in Zhangjiajie. I'll definitely be recommending this place to friends and family, and if we ever come back with family members, this will be our first choice. The hotel boasts a great location, convenient parking, and clean, tidy rooms with beautiful night views! The breakfast selection was plentiful, and the rice noodles were delicious 🤤 The receptionists were warm and attentive, always ready to answer any questions 👍👍👍 The hotel is right next to the subway station (Yingwan Town Station), making it very convenient for getting around and sightseeing. It's only one stop away from Orange Isle and also very close to Yuelu Mountain Park. This time, I stopped by on my way back, so the itinerary was a bit rushed. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time. 😊😊😊 The two night views are actually from my room window. I didn't take pictures of all the breakfast options, just my own 🤭🤭🤭

🇨🇳 Ho Perfect if you're entering via the East Gate! Beautiful rooms, amazing service. Keep this in mind for your trip! 📌 🛏️ 1. Exactly as pictured & Great value for money - The room is fantastic, very new, and spotlessly clean. I booked a room with a bathtub and got the 4th floor. It looked exactly like the photos. The price in late March was amazing—less than $30/night (getting a bathtub at this price is super worth it!). The furniture looks brand new. - The bathroom is great, with clearly separated wet and dry zones. It has a smart toilet with a heated seat and auto-flush! - Amenities are quite complete. However, the hotel provides disposable towels. If you have a larger build, they might not cover you completely (I'm petite, so it didn't bother me), but the material is highly absorbent. - Good to know: the building has an elevator, but you do have to carry your luggage up a few steps to reach the entrance, so it's not 100% wheelchair accessible. But once inside, you can comfortably use the elevator without carrying your bags up to the higher floors. 📍 2. Quiet location but easy to get around - The hotel is slightly tucked away from the busy, bright areas, making it very quiet and perfect for a good night's sleep. - Getting to the park is super easy. You can catch a Didi to the East Gate, and it’s very cheap—only about $0.70 per ride. - As for food, even though it's not right next to convenience stores or restaurants, you can easily order food delivery. If you want to eat out, you can take a Didi or walk to the restaurant area. It's not far, less than 1 kilometer away. 👩🏻💼 3. Friendly owner & Excellent service - The owner manages the reception herself and is extremely hospitable. She gives great advice on exploring the park. Whether you plan a 1-day or 2-day itinerary, she can recommend the perfect walking route. I planned a 2-day trip, so she suggested entering via the East Gate on the first day and the South Gate on the second day. - She is always in a good mood and genuinely seems to love her work. Her bright energy makes talking to her an absolute joy 🤣 I was so impressed! - Her English is okay for basic communication, but for convenience and speed, we used WeChat. The translation feature made it smooth, and we understood each other perfectly. 🎟️ 4. Better ticket discounts through the hotel - I highly recommend this! If you need tickets, let the hotel book them for you—the prices are actually better than booking through popular travel apps. - Whether it's the national park ticket (she also helps book your entry time slot for every day you plan to visit—though if you want to change the time, you need to ask her to update it for you), Baofeng Lake, or the Grand Canyon Glass Bridge, she can get them at a cheaper price. - Another perk is the unpredictable weather in Zhangjiajie. Letting her book day-by-day or close to the date means you don't have to risk booking too far in advance. I changed my plan easily because of fog and rain, and it was completely stress-free. 🚑 5. A personal note of gratitude (why I'm writing this review so long) Late at night on March 25th, I had a medical emergency. I reached out to the owner, and she was incredibly helpful. She actually left the hotel counter to take me to the hospital and helped sort everything out 😭🙏 (I truly apologize to the other guests staying that night!). I was so touched and grateful, and didn't know how else to repay her, so I wanted to write this review to pass on the good word. Summary: This stay was super comfortable and truly heartwarming. Not only because of how much she helped me, but the rooms and facilities are genuinely excellent. If you're looking for a place to stay, please keep this hotel in mind! ❤️

The hotel staff were incredibly welcoming and thoughtful. They contacted me in advance, knowing I was traveling with an elderly person, and arranged a suitable room, which was a very nice touch. The room environment was good, with smart-controlled curtains, a separate wet/dry bathroom, a large bathtub, and a refrigerator – the facilities were quite complete. Any issues I raised were also promptly resolved. I would definitely choose this hotel again if I have the chance.

Host is a super nice guy and very helpful. He helps you book your tickets as well as with communication and he has many good tips for you. Usually people hang downstairs, there are also three cute cats. Usually people order food and have dinner together. You will easily meet fellow travelers here. The place is otherwise very basic and could need repairs and more frequent cleanups. But that is not the focus here. The hostel is also close to the starting point to Tianmen mountain. PS: The package for the avatar mountains has hiked to 450 RMB including cablecars and elevator (you can use the ticket on 4 consecutive days). 12 RMB to take the bus to its south gate. You need two days to finish the avatar mountains. Then one more day for Tianmen mountain. Another day for the canyon, if you want.

This newly renovated hotel is on par with a star-rated hotel. The environment is comfortable, all kinds of facilities are complete, and the hygiene standards are very high. The staff are attentive and responsible, always ready to help solve any problems. The shuttle service to the East Gate of the scenic area is very convenient, and the lobby offers complimentary snacks and drinks. The surrounding amenities are excellent, with shops just a two-minute walk away. The night view of the stream's light show is absolutely stunning.
