"Staying at the Golden Lion Hotel was the biggest surprise of my trip to Cangzhou! While the hotel's facilities might seem a bit dated at first glance, they are incredibly well-maintained. The rooms are large and comfortable, and the bathroom, in particular, felt very high-quality. What truly impressed me most was the service – friendly, fast, timely, and respectful; everything was executed flawlessly. The complimentary shuttle service to major attractions and the high-speed rail station was incredibly convenient and comfortable! The dining experience was nothing short of a feast. The breakfast quality, even when compared to top-tier cities, is absolutely outstanding – a true culinary delight! Over three days, I diligently tried to sample as much as possible: lamb intestines, donkey burgers, fried tiger (likely a local dish name), meat buns, congee, tofu pudding, jianbing guozi, sugar oil cakes, noodles, various hot and cold dishes, and a wide array of fruits. I truly gave it my all! Plus, the hotel provided a 198 RMB dining voucher, which I used at the Cantonese restaurant, and without exception, everything was delicious! Trust me, you need at least three days to fully enjoy all the food here. All in all, the Golden Lion is the most cost-effective hotel I've stayed in for years. Its overall quality clearly surpasses most international five-star hotels, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it's worth revisiting Cangzhou just to stay at the Golden Lion again."

"An absolutely fantastic experience! Not only was the service excellent, but the room was also spotless, tidy, and comfortable. I particularly enjoyed a relaxing hot bath in the in-room bathtub. The breakfast spread was incredibly rich, offering both Chinese and Western options, so there was plenty to choose from. The executive lounge on the 53rd floor was also great, with attentive service. The evening food selection there exceeded my expectations – I didn't even need to go elsewhere for dinner. The red wine I had was also very good, smooth and not at all astringent."

"Arrived on the afternoon of Chinese New Year's Day. Both counters were busy during check-in, but Cathy proactively directed us to the third one. Since we were two adults with two young children, it was a bit of a struggle. Cathy thoughtfully gave the kids small horses to comfort them, which was very sweet. For the rest of our stay, everything perfectly matched our booking requests: a bed rail was installed, and child-friendly toiletries and a toilet seat were provided.
The housekeeping staff never slacked off, even though the kids made quite a mess. Our room was always spotless when we returned.
We'll definitely be back!"

When I asked the counter staff to book a taxi, she failed to account for my 2 suitcases. When the taxi arrived, it was immediately clear that the boot was too small to fit them. Rather than sending the taxi away and arranging a more suitable vehicle, she agreed with the taxi driver to force the suitcases into the boot and travel with the lid left open. This is plainly unsafe and completely unacceptable — a serious failure of duty of care."

"A good choice for summer vacation. When Beijing is 33 degrees, it is 25 degrees. The stay experience far exceeded expectations. The homestay is hidden in the green mountains and dense forests, away from the city's dry heat, morning and evening accompanied by the cool breeze in the mountains, refreshing and comfortable. Surrounded by green trees, the door is the mountain forest scenery, you can hear the birds singing in the morning, and you can stroll along the mountain path in the evening. The air is fresh and pleasant.
The service is warm and thoughtful, and the people are caring and thoughtful. Before and after check-in, carefully guide the route and help carry the luggage. Three meals are made of local farm ingredients, wild vegetables, native eggs, and stewed chicken. The rooms are clean and tidy, the bedding is soft and dry, the bathroom facilities are complete, and the details are in place.
The surrounding area can be climbed and picked, the stream can be cooled, and it is leisurely. The overall environment is quiet and comfortable, eating and living comfortably, and the price is very high. It is a great place to escape the heat in summer."

"I've stayed here a few times now, and the facilities, cleanliness, and environment are consistently excellent. However, there are quite a few issues: Firstly, the air conditioning is always too cold in summer; even with a light jacket and long pants, it's still freezing. Secondly, I tried to check in at 2:30 PM, and the front desk staff, a young man with glasses, told me my reserved room was ready and just being inspected, asking me to wait in the lobby and promising a call. After waiting for half an hour with no news, I went back to the front desk, only to find out my room key had already been processed, but no one had informed me. The staff member with glasses was also nowhere to be found. This level of service attitude and work efficiency is truly speechless. I hope the hotel strengthens its training for staff regarding their professional skills and service awareness."

"My stay at Hualuxe Handan was an absolutely fantastic experience! The hotel room completely exceeded my expectations – it was spotlessly clean, not a speck of dust in sight, with a well-designed and spacious layout. The bedding was incredibly soft and skin-friendly, and the mattress offered the perfect balance of firmness. Combined with the excellent blackout curtains, I enjoyed a truly restful and rejuvenating night's sleep. The bathroom's wet and dry separation design was thoughtful, the hot water supply was ample and consistent, and the toiletries were of high quality. Every detail showed great care.
What truly stood out was the front desk service. From the moment I walked in, I felt warmly welcomed. TTaiyangbaba0608Whenever I visit Gu'an, I always choose this hotel. The rooms are spacious, and the surrounding area is fantastic with plenty of dining and shopping options. Central Park is just across the street, perfect for a leisurely stroll after dinner – it's incredibly relaxing. The only downside this time of year is the abundance of poplar catkins, which can be quite annoying.

GGuest UserI specifically chose this pet-friendly hotel in Chongli for a summer escape with my dog. It was so convenient that they allow pets. The room was clean and airy, and there are many walking trails nearby, so taking my dog out was a breeze. The hotel staff were incredibly welcoming and very gentle with my dog. The room itself was spacious and odor-free, with a balcony offering mountain views. Downstairs, there's a large lawn perfect for dog walking. It's also very close to the town's commercial street, and parking is free if you're driving.

MMeiyouruguo1992This was my second stay at the hotel. Wulingshan Aranya has added a lighthouse park and a mountain-view restaurant, making it great for families with kids. Right behind the hotel, there's another restaurant and a grassy play area. For breakfast, you can choose from different options. We stayed two nights, so we tried Xiaoye's Japanese breakfast once and Shiwei Shangu's Chinese breakfast once, both of which were quite good. The complimentary public hot spring was also a nice touch, and it wasn't crowded, so the experience was pleasant. My only minor complaints are that the hotel's shuttle service is infrequent, leading to long waits during peak hours, and the staff's attitude wasn't as warm as during my previous visit. Also, we had to specifically ask for the raindrop cake and matcha experience, which wasn't offered as enthusiastically as before.

TTangyuxiaonazhaThe service here was a bit of a letdown. While the facilities were actually better than the InterContinental I stayed at a couple of days ago, the service didn't quite measure up. I booked connecting rooms with king beds, just like before, but when I called ahead, they made all sorts of excuses about not being able to arrange adjoining rooms. The staff's communication skills definitely need improvement. Then, at check-in, they started talking about whether our room was facing the street or not, even though our suite clearly was. High-floor rooms facing the street are bound to be noisy at night, so I'm not sure what the staff was getting at.
The biggest rip-off was the breakfast. For such an average buffet, they still charged extra for children, and rooms including breakfast were hundreds more – definitely not worth it. I strongly advise against booking a room with breakfast. I thought the InterContinental's breakfast was bad, but at least they had a wider selection of pastries. Here, the breakfast was barely on par with a budget hotel; it was so bad I almost wanted to complain. The score reflects the facilities, not the breakfast – what a scam!
On a positive note, I want to specifically commend the housekeeping department. The housekeeping staff were all incredibly dedicated and conscientious. We only stayed one night and left early the next morning, but the housekeeping attendant patiently kept asking if we needed anything. Thumbs up to them!

__ZFB886588****An older hotel, but the facilities are still complete and the room was pretty clean. You can't expect too much from an old hotel. It's best to take a Didi (ride-hailing service) from the station; don't just jump into a shared ride, you might get ripped off. It's just outside the city wall, and I personally think staying here is more comfortable than inside the wall. Among the performances, only the iron flower show is worth seeing, but you absolutely need to get there early to secure a good spot, otherwise, you won't be able to watch. The commercial streets are all pretty much the same!

BBeb ShanghaiVery modern / new and confortable rooms - we got upgraded to a two bedroom apartment and it was very comfortable. Right by the ski slope ; 3 buildings you can reach through the parking lot or if the weather allows it from outside where you’ll find plenty of restaurants ; ski rental / gear rental services just right outside the ski lifts. In the room though no plates / cutlery / cooking tools but as we are in touch on WeChat with a very nice lady, I guess we could have asked for it.

A coupon system to get access to the breakfast restaurant ; other coupons to get discounts to rent gears and buy ski cards (a bit complicated when you don’tread Chinese) but we did manage to use them.
For ski passes: note that if you buy 4 hours ski pass, it starts when you swipe your first ski lift but I think the équipement rental is for 24h so you might not have to give back your equipment every day. A bit of a hassle every morning to queue up for ski pass / equipment in the midst of CNY.

This was my first time bringing my family to Aranya, and I was completely lost with the vast layout of the park. Shortly after booking, our butler Wendy proactively connected with me via WeChat, instantly easing all my travel anxieties. A few days before our trip, she provided a super comprehensive guide for first-timers, covering everything from the highway exit and park entrance registration to parking fees, tidal schedules, reservation channels for various venues, and the locations of dining halls for all three meals. She even detailed where to go for morning, afternoon, and evening strolls, completely saving me from staying up late to plan.
Upon arrival, the park was huge, and I was disoriented with our luggage. Wendy sent real-time location and walking directions, clearly indicating the shuttle pick-up points. During check-in, she meticulously explained the room facilities, complimentary drinks, and toiletries, and proactively asked if we had any special requests. Throughout our stay, whether we wanted to visit the chapel, find local snacks, or watch the sunset in the evening, her responses were almost immediate. When we temporarily needed extra towels and drinking water, they were delivered to our room within minutes.
What impressed me most was the perfect balance of her service – she never bothered us with frequent messages while we were enjoying ourselves, yet she was always available to help whenever we had a question. The hotel itself is minimalist and tranquil, offering great comfort. Coupled with Wendy's detailed and reliable guidance throughout, our first Aranya trip was absolutely flawless, with no missteps or frustrations. We'll definitely be staying at Nuo An Yuan Jin next time and specifically requesting Wendy as our butler.

TTimLimBad check in service at front counter lady. Seems more occupied with her task than guest service. I have to call and request for our sofa bed to be open. Given we book and indicated a family of 4, unlike other hotels whom immediately arrange all additional required items such as toothbrushs, slippers, towels, water, etc. Here I have to call to request for each items.
The wifi doesn't work. I have to physically bring my laptop to the front desk for assistance.. and even that was not able to connect.
Breakfast, average as the food are abit hard - hard noodles, hotdogs, breads..
Only cons is location near to ski and restaurants but so are a few hotels nearby.
Free scheduled public bus shuttle to/fro train station, have to walk about 7 mins to the bus stop.
As a Hyatt member, this is the worse Hyatt Place hotels I stayed. I believe surrounding hotels will have better guest services and competitive price too.

HHaobaishaoI stayed here last winter when I came to soak in the hot springs. I was very satisfied with the private room last time. This time I wanted to go around, so I asked the front desk to help me get a room facing the sea. Wang Zeyu, the front desk, quickly arranged the room after hearing our needs. Thank you! It’s a good experience to walk on the wooden boardwalk by the sea. The water lilies in the park are so beautiful. Especially this week, I went to the vegetation near the seaside (behind the hot springs), where there are many locusts, and it is a good season for the fragrance of locust flowers. There are also tourists and fishing enthusiasts digging on the beach. This time I know how the sandworms were found. It’s always a fresh experience to stay in this hotel. I don’t know what fun and delicious things I will find next time.
