Travelodge by Wyndham Cleveland Lakewood

The only good thing about this hotel was the staff. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. We were treated with kindness and made to feel welcome. Now the rest of the visit...this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. It was part of a package deal that included tickets to the Rock and Roll HOF which is the only reason we booked it. The landscaping had not been maintained and was basically an overgrown jungle. We had a total of 3 rooms for our group. Every room had multiple issues but I will list them all together: no cups, no coffee, no cream/sugar, mold in the bathroom, no ice bucket, hair dryer and coffee maker that didn't work (hair dryer actually shot out sparks), a twin size blanket on a queen bed, broken lock on room door....I could go on but I think you understand our disappointment.

A motel, just off the road! Breakfast is average, but can meet the basic needs, mainly bread, surprise is to do waffle, drinks: coffee, juice, and cereals and yogurt! Very close to the gas station, walk for 5 minutes; drive 10 minutes from Wal-Mart, 24 hours, great, everything! Suitable for driving, parking is convenient!

Not bad place to stay. Desk person could be a little friendlier but they weren't rude either. Room itself was clean and made up nice. Would stay here again for sure. Only negative thing I can think of is the lack or any type breakfast. Have vending machines but they are not working.
German Village Inn Motel

Convenient location. It's close to downtown without the hassle. Close to to bars, restaurants and on the edge of historic German Village with it's beautiful old homes and its quaint neighborhood. The only negative is it's not pet friendly, but otherwise I have had a comfortable long term stay. The convenient private parking and free internet are great for any type of stay or guest.

I thought it was okay. I got there late the clerk was efficient and directed me to my room. Do be aware the iron in the room was missing. Not that I needed it but it wasn’t present upon my arrival. The room was decent enough and I would stay there again. Though the room did smell somewhat smoky for a nonsmoking room. It was late and not too bad, I went to bed.

I came to get a little peace and quiet for 8 days .. I realized that I had no lights in the restroom ,so I spoke to the front and they said they will get on it..My peace ended when I noticed my car was being told for parking backwards..The lady at the front desk never made it clear to not park backwards..She only said! Make sure the parking pass was visible..I was lying in bed and kept hearing something backing back in forth..So I ran out the door with only my drawers on to stop the guy from towing my car..And their little towing sticker says the car wasn’t going to be towed until 9am ,but the guy wanted 75 dollars to drop my car.. At the time it was 1am..Satan definitely was here this night ..My blood pressure went high to the roof, because I came for peace and they took my peace away from me..This is a game and their making plenty of towing fees off of it..

Ok. No deposit required! No using your 100 dollars for a month or so until they decide to return it. This place is very clean and nice. Everything worked and it was a very nice stay. We will be going to Cleveland for my daughters’ health needs and we’ve found our place to stay.

RedRoof had always been our go-to hotel for consistency. They are usually well-maintained and clean. I don't know WHAT is going on with this place though... First off, the evening staff at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. That was about the only good part. Once we made it around to our parking area, we parked next to a 30-year-old abandoned truck stuffed with garbage. Even the driver's seat was full, so it's obvious it's not being driven. As we made our way toward the building, it was concerning that the outside door to the corridor has a swipe-lock, but it was not operational, and the door stayed unlocked. Nice security. Once inside, the smell of vape, cigarettes and **** permeated the hallways. I was passed by a man carrying a large clothes hamper on his way to the laundry. I assume he lives there. Once we got to our room, I could see down the hall that garbage cans and bags of trash were stacked in the hallway (I assume from more people who live there). I also noticed TONS of dog hair along the hallway carpet. I wasn't even looking for it. It just was that dirty that it caught my eye. I could hear kids screaming and dogs barking already, the walls were that thin. Once inside the room, we noticed how poorly maintained it was. The lampshade was broken, the tiles had months of dirt buildup along the edges, the toilet seat had cigarette burns, and the commode itself was so loose I thought it would fall over. The bathtub had hair and bits of debris in it. I turned on the faucet (which, along with the spout, moved in and out of the wall about an inch when touched), but the tub just filled up and swirled the debris around, taking several minutes to drain, leaving even more debris behind. So we couldn't use the tub. I'm not going to stand in ankle-deep dirty water with somebody else's hair. The mattress was completely flat in the middle. It was like sleeping in a hammock. My wife and I had to stick pillows under our sides like wheel-chocks to keep from rolling into the middle. The walls and floors are extremely thin. We could hear EVERYTHING going on beside us and above us. We could even hear the upstairs dog walking around as if it was in our room! Plus people slamming doors all night, screaming in the hallways, making every dog in the building bark in unison... Like I said- RedRoof is usually a solid choice. But NOT THIS ONE. It is VERY poorly cleaned and maintained. We were only there for one night, and I bet most people wouldn't have even made it that long.

Simple , very clean, well managed budget hotel. The room and bathroom was very clean, smelled fresh. The staff was helpful and professional. You could tell they took good care of the place. They had a small swimming pool . I didn’t care about coffee makers or iron in the room . The breakfast was simple and finished earlier than advertised but that’s not a problem! For the price I paid, it was perfect!
