So we check into Red Roof Inn Tucson at the Airport, the Superior King room with an office desk and king size bed. The young woman at the front desk was busy with her phone, and I could just damn-well wait until she’s done. Already, I’m having doubts. Get to the room, and the toilet doesn’t work. The plunger sitting next to it should have been a tip-off. I go to the office, and tell cupcake that the toilet in the room won’t flush. She actually asked me “What’s it doing?” I pointed out the part about won’t flush. So we switch rooms. I was told that there were no Superior King rooms left. Which, according to the website was a lie. The booking page said there were some left. We get moved to a Superior Double room but with two full size beds and a smaller desk. Fine? No. It’s not fine. Here’s the list of why: There’s no ‘do not disturb’ sign (we never have maid service), there’s no trash can of any kind, there’s no coffee maker (one of the things that denote a Superior Room), the fridge is unplugged (didn’t know that, warm left over chicken dinner), the microwave wasn’t plugged in, the clock wasn’t plugged in and the cord was in a wad on the bedside table, the light over the bed wasn’t plugged in, the plug strip next to the bed only half works (another Superior Room item), the room phone doesn't work, and the bedspreads on both beds has so many stains on it, including one that looks like blood, it’s holding enough DNA to keep a lab busy for a month. No way on Earth are we sleeping under or anywhere near that thing so I strip it off and toss it in a corner. I’m pretty sure it squirmed a little bit when it landed. Wanna guess what’s not on the bed? A blanket. It’s just a sheet. It’s a clean sheet and we don’t seem to have bedbugs so we’ve got that going for us… which is nice. We do travel with a fleece blanket so we at least had something. And we did get a Do Not Disturb sign after numerous calls to the desk. Today, when we got back to the room the do not disturb sign is gone, and 24 hours after being asked about the coffee pot, there still isn't one. And, the dude staying next to us is out on the walkway smoking…. In a 100% smoke free hotel. The designated smoking area is clearly too far for him to waddle. I considered calling the front desk, but the room phone doesn't work. And, she would have blown it off anyway---might have to put her phone down. So, we got to stay in a crap room. For both days. I coulda gone to Motel 6 and had a better room. So if you’re ever in Tucson, pass on the Red Roof Inn at the Airport. I’m going to pass on the Red Roof Inn no matter where I am.

Stayed here during my trip to the grand canyon since it was one of the most economic options in the area. The room that I was initially given had a faulty TV, a fridge that leaked, broken AC, and shower faucets that were loose and was difficult to turn on. Once we got it turned on, we had to call in a staff member to help us turn it off. Thankfully the staff was understanding and switched us to a new room that was MUCH better. We were only there for a night, and it was largely comfortable. Besides the initial shock of so many faulty equipment in that one room, everything else was fine.

Security is protective. Maintenance is on the ball and if something needs to be fixed they come and fix it right away. The ladies at the front desk are friendly and courteous and will help you with what we you need. If you need a quick cheap stay then this is it. If you want to stay longer then that can happen too but no it is not a extended stay, though for $280 will get you a weeks stay! It isn't the most fancy upper class it has caring and chill vibes.

The room is big enough, the surrounding is very quiet, and the Halloween decoration at the front desk is very atmospheric. There is coffee at the front desk in the morning for you to drink by yourself. The hotel has hot water for bathing, and the bathtub is a bit worn out.

Motel hotel, the price is slightly cheaper, but the surrounding environment is general, the waiter's attitude is slightly better, breakfast is barely available. The main reason for choosing to live is near the University of Arizona.

Parking is free, the room is relatively clean, the front desk took the initiative to change us into a smoking and non-smoking room, but the front desk does not like to laugh, but everything that can be handled is handled, I still like

After a very hot day of driving a 26 foot rental truck I found myself in Seligman, Az. There are very few motel choices in this desert town and I took a chance on the mom & pop run Supai. I was pleasantly surprised. The room was old, spartan, but clean and well kept. The bed sheets were crisp, floors clean and bathroom spotless. TV worked great. I was only in the room for a few hours but is was just fine for me. Don't expect the Hilton but you can rest comfortably and not feel like you are in some dilapidated, poorly maintained establishment. The owners obviously take pride in keeping their place ship shape. Be aware, after dark it appeared there is almost nothing in Seligman open, so if you want food you'll have to drive......somewhere for that.

The breakfast is very simple, there are a bunch of fast hotels around, it is very convenient to come on! The swimming pool is not big, children can play well, it is close to the Kingman Museum, and shopping in the Wal-Mart business district is also very convenient! #fully equipped# #环境超好#

Newly renovated, the facilities are new and very clean. Life is convenient, with many restaurants and shops nearby. But the free breakfast provided by the hotel is very poor, with very few types. There is also a small indoor swimming pool.

An average motel room (exterior corridor, walk up) on the smallish side. Bathroom also small with little counter space. Clean, minor scuffs and dings. Good water pressure, toiletries include shampoo conditioner lotion and Kleenex. Good towels, okay linens, beds a little soft. No pants hangers, 6 for shirts. A/C and internet work fine. No breakfast, Keurig in room coffee (two capsules of regular, one decaf, one tea). Microwave and nice refrigerator with freezer compartment. Smaller flat screen TV with HBO and local channels. Outlets okay. Limited check-in hours. Not at all sure why this lodging is so highly rated. It's a bare notch above a Motel 6 and other low end chains due to the coffee maker and better toiletries.

This simple motel was a pleasant place to stay, because the room was spotless, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom had new tile on the floor and in the shower. The Westerner is simple, but someone cares enough to maintain it well. I have seen too much slaped-on or broken tile in motels in this price range, but the Westerner bathroom tile was done precisely, and the room was very clean. The room also included a small microwave and small refrigerator, two very-welcome extras. Overall, I happily would stay there again.

The place js at a “convenient” location, cleanliness is not the best on the rooms, i usually run my fingers over surfaces to test how clean it is, and this one was not that great… many locations were dusty… the beds are confortable and provided a good sleep, bathroom is enough to have a relaxing shower…. It was a bit too noice even if we were on second floor you could hear the first floor people. Carpet is not the tidiest… Mini fridge, coffee machine and microwave were included.

The hotel is not far from Highway 64. It is very convenient to travel to the Grand Canyon. It is an hour's drive from the south entrance. The room is not big, but all facilities are complete, including coffee maker, hair dryer, refrigerator, electric iron, etc. The rooms are clean and tidy, and sleep quietly at night. The bed is comfortable and the pillows are a bit high. A typical motel, U-shaped courtyard, the car is parked in the courtyard, the lights in the courtyard are very bright, there is a sense of security.

It's one of those motels on a main street that looks like it's used by truckers. Driving from Page AZ we just needed an inexpensive place to sleep close enough to The Grand Canyon to make it for sunrise without having to wake up at 2am. Our room was actually pretty decent. Room was very large and very clean. Bed was comfortable. Love the sink outside the bathroom. Makes it easy for 2 people to get ready. We checked in pretty late. After 10pm. Front desk was person was pleasant. BUT......the trains passing! Sounds like they pass just outside the door. Constantly. All night long. It was very tough sleeping with the noise. I even darkened the tv screen so I could leave it on a channel all night so as to try to distract from the constant trains passing. The tv on all night along with the heater fan going didn't help much with the train noise. If you are a light sleeper, stay elsewhere. If you dont mind freight trains passing all night, if you sleep soundly, and want an inexpensive clean place to lay your head. Go for it.

Small hotel very friendly. Every staff member say good morning or good afternoon waved at you if you saw you in the parking lot breakfast was thin no hot only muffins toasting waffles 930 means 930. Don’t be there at 9:31 when you won’t get anything. Not a bad stay, but it’s not the Hilton just remember it’s nice and clean. The bed was already wrapped and comfortable.

The bed is very big and clean, it feels like an apartment. It is very easy to find on the side of the road. There is a refrigerator, a microwave, and a Chinese kettle, but there is a coffee machine, bread for breakfast, and poached eggs. The Rambling Rose is on Route 66 in Kingman, AZ. It has the feel of a classic family-run Route 66 Motel. We booked it over the phone and got a room for $60. The check in was very efficient. It is a two-story hotel so specify floor if you have a preference. There is plenty of off-street free parking with room for larger vehicles. We had a room with a comfortable queen size bed (but only 2 pillows). The room included a table with 2 chairs, coffeemaker, microwave, and mini fridge with freezer section. There is a free easily accessible reliable ice machine outside. It had a small bathroom all contained with shower stall only. There was a big walk-in closet and a large bureau with multiple drawers. There was free reliable internet service. There was some street noise and train noise, but both died down at night. It was fairly quiet overall. It is right on Route 66 and walkable to a number of local sites including the popular Mr. D's Diner. It is a short drive to other restaurants and conveniences. Kingman is a great launching point for visitors heading to the Grand Canyon West.

It’s cool to park your car at door! Location is easy to find that right next to highway. 5 mins walk to restaurant and nice deco for each room

The location is right next to the expressway. When you get off the road, there is free parking, shopping and shopping nearby. It is convenient to eat and eat. The breakfast is only bread and coffee. The room is quite big, the health is OK, and the price is cheap.

I am giving Catalina Inn in Catalina, AZ (a suburb of Tucson) a ‘1’ rating for my recent stay with them. First, they denied there was a paid reservation for a specific room. Then after about 2 hours and a long phone call from the travel agency GVR they “suddenly” found my reservation. Upon arrival that evening, they had apparently rented that room to someone else. All they had available was a room upstairs or a room downstairs. I am a disabled veteran in a wheelchair, though I do use a cane, I cannot navigate stairs. So I took the downstairs room that was offered. The bed & the TV were about the only properly functioning items in the room. Advertised internet access was not available, no alarm clock in the room & no door hanger for ”Do Not Disturb”. The free breakfast was lacking: no juice, no pancakes or waffles, no fresh fruit and the hockey-puck eggs were cold & dry. DO NOT ACCEPT ROOM 106 if you stay at this establishment. They should not have even offered the room to me! The bathroom had a 6 inch hole in the wall on one side and mildew on floor and wall tile. Especially the wall by the door. The waterspout on the tub was so loose it could be lifted off. It was obvious the cleaning lady only vacuumed the ‘L’ shaped traffic area as there was dust, dirt, trash, and even dead bugs in corners and under movable furniture. Two lamps did not work because there was no electrical outlet near them. But the worst item was the plumbing leak I discovered that night under the floor of the sink at the vanity counter. It is not caused by a leaking U-trap, but by a problem within the foundation pipes. So that water seeps up and into the carpet and adjoining bathroom wall when the faucet is turned on at the sink. The rug itself within a few feet of this area was full of mildew and mold and became saturated with water. I have a form of COPD and a artificial heart valve so breathing mold & mildew could cause serious harm to me! I notified the hotel management the next morning ( as the night clerk could not do anything), stating that either they moved me to a comparable room or found me a room in a nearby hotel since we were going to be gone all day. And they did move me a few rooms down. Advertised internet access was not available, no alarm clock in the room & no door hanger for ”Do Not Disturb”. Immediately noticeable was that the door to room 106 was propped open for the next couple of days and no other work was done. So, the assumption is that this hotel will continue to rent out that room when they can without telling a customer about the health hazards from the mildew and mold.

I had a fabulous experience at University Inn. I loved my room. It was spacious, comfortable, well-furnished and well-lit. All of the hotel employees were super-friendly and helpful. My room was kept clean and I always had clean towels, soap and shampoo. I am already looking forward to staying at this hotel again.
