Red Roof Inn Oklahoma Airport - I-40 W/Fairgrounds

Just needed a place to stay near airport for an early morning flight. It’s close and Uber was able to pick us up there no problem. Kind of not the best area of town and pretty old but it was fine. Several people Sitting out really late smoking and staring when we checked in but the didn’t bother us.
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Oklahoma City Southeast - I-35

Arrived around noon or so and James was very helpful in checking me in. Being Spire Elite I was upgraded to a suite. This suite has something I rarely see: a ceiling fan in the sitting area. A very nice feature to go along with AC (it was nearly 100 degrees outside at one point!). Weak water pressure was the only bad thing about the room. Full breakfast, good to see as some locations have still been slow to roll that out. The neighborhood is so-so around the area, but you have easy access to I-35 and I-40, as well as downtown only two or three miles away.
Motel 6 Oklahoma City, OK - South

This location is very convenient to I-35 and it's easy to get on and off the interstate, the lady at the front desk is always friendly and awesome, I had an issue with the TV and she moved me right away to a room where there was a working TV last time I was there
Radisson Hotel Oklahoma City Airport

The room was booked by my company. I'm a truck driver and my truck was down for maintenance. When I got there to check in I was told that I personally would have to pay extra fees before I could go to my room even though my company was the one paying for my stay. It wasn't until I called my company on speaker phone that the lady behind the counter agreed to put the charge on the company account like it was supposed to be and assist the young lady that was trying her best to help me. I was not made to feel welcome at all by the woman claiming to be the supervisor. Especially when she disregarded the young lady that was trying her best to get me checked in. She was clearly new and just needed some help but the other two would not even acknowledge her. Normally this would be the end of it and I would mark this as a bad stay, however the young lady who was doing her best to help me at first was very sweet and welcoming and even made sure that I had everything I needed (offered me extra towels, soaps, etc...). When it was time to check out, the gentleman at the desk proceeded to inquire about my stay. Unlike the woman I encountered upon check in, he was dressed very professionally, greeted each guest as they came through the door and even paid for candy for the family with little kids waiting on their shuttle. If it wasn't for Mr. Bennett (the real manager); the hotel and the rude lady who called herself a supervisor would have gotten a one star.
Aloft Oklahoma City Downtown - Bricktown

Downtown Oklahoma City
First let me start by complimenting the staff. Customer service was excellent and friendly. Also we were provided bottles of water whenever we needed them. Unfortunately it goes down hill from here. I booked this weekend girls trip based on staying at an Aloft in another city and was excited about our stay until we stepped foot in the door. First thing we noticed after a very hot walk with our luggage from the train station is that there is NO AC in the common areas. Temps outside are ranging from 90-110 degrees! They had a fan blowing on the hotel receptionist-if I was an employee there, I would not stay. Come to find out it hasn't been fixed in over a year! WHAT???? are you kidding me? Part of the draw to hotels is being able to hang out in the commons areas, play some games, lounge on the couches and enjoy a breakfast without sweating in it. So we had to stay in our room if we wanted to cool off between sight seeing. Second- we were very excited we could hang out in the pool since inside the hotel was not refreshing. I am no pool expert but I don't think pool water should be cloudy. I have a feeling that there is little to no maintenance done. To me, pool water should be clear and PH properly monitored and kept up. I didn't have a water testing kit but it was not inviting to swim in-very disappointing. (there was a guy picking up trash around the pool in the mornings so I guess that was something) Third- Furniture, rugs and other items in the common areas, around the pool and in the hotel room we stayed in were dirty, stained and worn. The sticker decorations in the elevators were tattered in places and just cheap looking. Fourth-hotel room itself. Sink and counter were cracked. Water pressure was barely enough to rinse shampoo from hair and the lighting was so dark in the shower you could barely see. Tile looked like it had not been cleaned in a while. Beds were comfortable enough but you really ought to provide more than one chair in a room with 2 double beds. Air conditioner worked fine but smelled a bit musty.
Extended Stay America Suites - Oklahoma City - Northwest
3.1/53 Reviews
Was sent there after the ESA at Northwest Highway called and said they didn't have one of the rooms I had a reservation in advanced for. The rooms are good size and have a better kitchen then you find at most ESAs. You get a galley kitchen with a big sink, range/oven combo, fridge, and tons of cabinets (though clearly dated) . Some rooms even have a dishwasher. There are no double bed rooms so instead they have a room with a queen and a pullout couch and a single queen roo.. Lighting was good a pretty up to date but in the single room there was no drawers for putting my cloths in. Good eating areas in both rooms and big open closet but seems a bit wasted space. The carpets in the hotel though are filthy. My wife's room wasn't as bad as mine but if she had light socks they would be black from walking around. In my room it was worse and areas were torn exposing metal. I had to wear shoes for most of the time in the room. This extends to halls too. It seems as they almost never have them deeply steam cleaned or properly replaced. WiFi was also spotty and would only work in certain parts of the room. It generally would not work when around the beds. I had daily calls that I would have trouble using this hotels wifi when at other ESAs it works fine. If these two issues were fixed this would be 3.5 but would not want to stay here again. Also don't expect to use the pool as it is out of operation. Talked to someone who stays there often and it hasn't been in operation for the last 2 years or so with no plans to fix it. If true then they should not have it advertised as having a pool.
