Albury Motels

This is a really lovely hotel with enormous rooms, king beds and centrally located. We have stayed here before so it really was the motel we wanted to stay in on this trip. It did not disappoint again. Rooms are spotless, checking is really seamless, heating is great for the cold Albury winter nights and the amenities are numerous with great undercover and open air car parking. Our suggestion woukd be to book early because it is a very reasonably priced motel and seriously good for the cost.

After running all the way, I finally met the Chinese compatriots. They were warm and hospitable and gave us a lot of help. Under the guidance of the boss, we also bought n95 masks in this small town. I was very happy. I was not used to eating Western food. The family of the boss made it for us Authentic Chinese food, tomato, egg, rice, and home-made lamb soup. The motel accommodation is also very good, clean, hygienic, convenient to go, the town is beautiful, it is recommended to stay

I booked and paid online for this mistake of an experience online at 9:20pm on the night of check-in. The property advertised a 2 br apartment to sleep 4. The booking was confirmed and a message received saying that if check-in was after 8pm reception would be closed and a key would be left out. No key left. So I messaged on the booking channel that we wanted to check in now. A sign on the door with a mobile number said call if reception unattended. I rang the number and received the rudest response I have ever received from a night clerk. The man abused me for waking them up said they would be there soon. An old man appeared and continued his tirade. We should have just left, but the family with children needed a place to stay at 10:15pm and no other booking on the stop on the road from Sydney to Melbourne. The apartment was not available. I was told the man had extended the stay of the previous guest that day and not updated the website availability. He put us in a lesser room which was not the end of the world, and put the extraordinary greeting incident behind us. Anyway, 2 evenings later I get a response to the message on the booking channel which I will quote for complete accuracy: ”What a vey rude person you are! “Wanting to check in now” is not conducive to a response worthy of a reasonable guest. Our terms clearly state our reception closes at 8pm but you thought you could ignore that and be as rude as possible. Not fair and we hope you don’t bother to return because we and every other motel here don’t need your negativity or rudeness.” Just to be clear, the booking was accepted and paid for after the close of reception, but there was no trigger warning on making a 10pm check-in or that it would prompt retaliatory communications from the night clerk 2 nights later (also after reception close!) Most concerning was that the website advertised specific Covid-19 protections, one of which was that they claimed to leave 72 hours between one occupant and the next. However, that representation did not match with what the night clerk told me was his excuse why the room was not available - he told me that the room was not available as there were guests in the room who had extended their stay by one further night and that was the reason he could not honour the booking. If that was true then there was never any 72 hour gap being left between gusts occupying the same room. That made me wonder if the other so-called COVID-19 precautions were simply a marketing statement not a reality. Following the posting of this review the owners have doubled down, sending me emails making reference to my wife and children being of asian (my children are Australian), me being ”portly” accusing me without any foundation of keeping a dog in the room claiming to have CCTV footage and telling me to ”eff off”. CCTV footage in a motel room? What? They still have not refunded the difference between the two bedroom apartment and the single room. I notice that there are

The location of the hotel is very good, convenient to eat and shop. The attitude of the service staff is very good. But at night, the alarm in the room on the whole floor rang twice in a row, and there was no broadcast to inform you what the situation was. It was a waste of everyone's time and very unprofessional.

We were driving home from interstate and decided to stay in Albury as we were getting tired. We came across the Albury Central Motel. Upon arrival, the owner came to the door and was very friendly and helpful. He offered us the last available room for the evening. He personally walked outside, showed us where our room was and where we could park. The room was large, clean and well set out. I note a lot of reviews comment on the age and layout of the property. They seem to expect a 5 star resort for a 3 star price. For the price paid, it is a great property. It is not expensive, and considering the high inflation at the moment, it helps to keep costs low. The bed was comfortable with spare pillows in the cupboard. It had a large TV and the owner provided milk for our morning cup of tea. I would recommend this motel if you are looking for somewhere cheap, and have reasonable expectations given the lower price. If you are looking for a spa resort, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a older, clean building with friendly owners, then perhaps this is the place for you. I will be staying here again when we go to Albury.

Hotel location is very good, there is parking and parking is free, there is a COLES supermarket next to Australia's second largest supermarket, very convenient, we did not eat hotel breakfast, went to the supermarket to buy milk bread for breakfast

The staffs are very helpful start from reception to breakfast venue. The breakfast is stunning.

The motel was perfect for a one night stopover for a family of 5, including our pet dog. The motel is easy to find not far off the freeway and is a short walk to town and also close to some playing fields for a dog walk. The room was a good size for two adults and two teenagers and the queen plus 2 single beds configuration worked well. The room was clean and tidy and the staff were friendly and accommodating, especially when we left a phone charger behind they kindly arranged postage. We would stay there again and would recommend anyone else do so as well. Good job Cottage Motor Inn.

Stayed 1 x night in June in a Family Suite. It was a great nightly rate & location is one of the best, walking distance to wherever you need to go, even on a cold night. Check in process was very easy and friendly. The Family room was very clean, the separate room for up to 2 kids is perfect for parents. Comfortable beds with extra blankets a must for winter and the 2 x split system units + TV's for each room is great way to keep everyone happy. The kitchenette was clean and well supplied. The bathroom, while dated in appearance, was really clean & smelt like bleach on arrival which is quite comforting these days. Towels were the usual motel style and the general amenities provided. Small dining table and chairs are there for a quick breaky or meal but the idea of this place is you head out for your meals. Definitely would stay here again & that was the most difficult part - it was already booked out for our next visit to Albury so we will have to go elsewhere, so see you next time!!

The hotel is good, the environment is very quiet and clean, looking for the hotel turned three times, the tree blocked the hotel and did not see. It is convenient to have a shopping mall near the hotel, but it is very early to get off work, and there are also large supermarkets.
