#summerfest #desaru A great place if you are craving delectable seafood without paying so much. Desaru Seafood Corner served fresh seafood and we spent RM270 for crab, prawns, cockles, tom yum soup, kangkong and tofu. The restaurant is brightly lit, clean and spacious. The highlights here had to be the huge mud crabs, lobsters, and freshwater prawns. Overall, we really enjoyed our dinner here at Desaru Seafood Corner. The seafood was cooked to perfection and we thought all of the dishes we ordered were stellar.

Beautiful beachfront cafe with stunning seaview. It features a glasshouse concept, the full-height glass windows that afford views of the dreamy outside while you enjoy your drinks or meals. The cafe also provides free wifi. I like their Signature Ah Ma Bowl, it's a traditional long bean rice with fried chicken and homemade sambal sauce. I feel home eating the flavourful rice. The Laksa Pasta was really yummy and unique, I have never tasted anything similar before, a perfect fusion dish. The drinks look fancy but quite pricey, good for IG photos. Desserts wise, the Mochi and Tiramisu are the most recommended ones. Please make a reservation through their official website or Instagram first before your visit, you will be given an online waitlist number, it takes time to be seated. Desaru is a beachside vacation that is located on the east side of Malaysia in johor bahru. There is only 3 ways to get there from singapore, via boat to pengarang and taxi to desaru, or drive via the woodlands checkpoint or even cycle where most cyclists enthusiasts normally do on weekend. Desaru is a laid back town that has a 22km stretch of beach with plenty of nature base activities luxurious beachfront resorts and clearer waters. What i like about Desaru is definitely people and scenery. First of all, everyone is with kampung spirit and you can see everyone is smiling! The cafe is located right at the end of the street, having an unblocked view of the sea visible when seated & having your meal. Popped by after having seafood for lunch and had desserts & coffee there. Enjoyed the ambience of the cafe a lot! Service was great, although pricing of the food is on the higher side. Pengerang is an area at the southeastern tip of Johor, to the south of Desaru. Kedai Kek Lim Choo Seng is the most famous traditional bakery in Sungai Rengit, Pengerang, Johor. It was founded more than 100 years ago by the family Lim Choo Seng. The bakery now is run by the 3rd generation carrying on the family tradition. The production process is a family affair - everyone is involved in the production chain. I love their Tau Sar Piah (Savoury Mung Bean Paste Biscuit), handmade Lao Po Bing ("old wife cake") and Egg Rolls with Peanuts, really yummy. With only two main streets, it was not difficult to find your way to the shop which is opposite the only Marybrown fast food restaurant in town.
