Vigan City❤️
Vigan is located in Ilocos Sur.It’s known for its preserved Spanish colonial and Asian architecture. And because of its beauty and its well-preserved Spanish-era streets, Vigan has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Vigan is one of the oldest towns in the Philippines. If you go there you will experience the ancient feels of the city. You can not just enjoy the view, but Vigan can also make your tummy happy with the delicacies they have!
If you are getting to Vigan via plane, you can book a flight from Manila to Laoag thru Cebu Pacific. After arriving in Laoag, you can take a bus with Laoag-Vigan route or buses heading to Manila then drop off at Vigan. This trip will take about 2 hours and will cost 100 PHP.

Very Vintage, Vigan…
I had a short stay in Vigan City and enjoyed everything about it, except the rain… It was a travel back to a time when one would share cobblestone streets with horse-drawn carriages, flanked by old Spanish architecture, where the tallest structure is a watchtower atop a hill. But one gets jolted back to present Phililppines in the crowded central square where a pimped up karaoke machine on wheels beckons some shameless belting. What’s not to love? Viva la Vigan, I say!

Some of the places we visited when we went to Vigan. Baluarte is a must-visit, especially if you have kids with you, as they’ll really enjoy and be amazed by the animals there. #vigancity #Baluartezoo #travel #thingstodo

Palace transient
The hotel itself is already like one of the tourist attractions. Old on the outside but modern in the inside.
The staff is very accommodating.
Free water, hot or cold, and free coffee.
The place is 2-3 minutes away from the center of Vigan
Just 2 cons:
The wifi has no connection.
We were lost at first we typed in “REDDOORS @ CASA RAFAELLE” on the map just like what it shows on trip.com but we were sent to the wrong address. Just don’t include the “REDDOORS”.
I recommend this place.

Vigan's Cobblestones and Moonlight 🧱🌙

Cobblestone streets whisper tales of old,
Spanish echoes linger, stories unfold.
Vigan's fusion of cultures, a timeless allure,
A heritage gem, where history finds its cure.
Beneath the moon's soft glow, they dance,
Heritage houses whisper secrets, enhance.
Vigan, where time stands still, forevermore,
A canvas of history, painted by folklore.
Through narrow alleys, memories roam,
In every corner, a piece of home.
The scent of incense in the air,
Inviting whispers of ancient prayer.
Vigan's soul lies in its streets,
Where past and present gently meet.
A living testament to days gone by,
Yet in its heartbeat, a timeless sigh.

Philippines - Vigan City - Ilocos Sur
Vigan is a city in the Philippines, on the west coast of Luzon island. It's known for its preserved Spanish colonial and Asian architecture. Calle Crisologo dominates the Mestizo district, with its cobblestone streets, malecón, horse-drawn carriages and rustic mansions. Near the white baroque Vigan Cathedral are Plaza Salcedo, offering fountain light shows, and Plaza Burgos, known for its street-food stalls.

Calle Crisoloso
The Philippines has a lot of places that stood the test of time and served as witnesses to many historical events, dating back from the pre-colonial period to the freedom wars. One of those is Vigan where we can see the famous Calle Crisologo.
Calle Crisologo is a street of old Spanish structures, mostly houses of wealthy families and Filipino-Chinese traders. This is where you’ll see the famous cobblestone streets that represent Vigan’s image.
Unknown to many, before the name Calle Crisologo street, it was called Calle Escolta de Vigan upon the discovery of the town by Juan de Salcedo in 1572. The street served as the commercial hub in the entire Northern Luzon and was established even before the Galleon Trade.
Calle Crisologo was also called “Kasanglayan” (place of the Chinese), which was the business center of the foreign migratory traders including Chinese, Spanish, Mexican, Japanese and other European businessmen.

The best hotel ever! Hotel Luna's in the heart of Vigan City, Philippines. There are so friendly and helpful staff, very clear, cozy rooms, small, but nice pool. Also you can visit their impressive museum and restaurant. Highly recommended!

There are more than 600 old buildings that preserved the entire Spanish colonial period. During World War II, the Japanese army raided South Ilocos Province, and it was devastated. Only Wei Gan survived under the command of a Japanese general. The Philippine lover is hiding in Weigan, so this ancient city is preserved because of love. The museums, antique streets and pottery factories there are full of cultural and artistic atmosphere, attracting many tourists to linger. The most famous antique street is full of Spanish-style buildings on both sides. Every slate on the ground is older than you, so cars are not allowed to enter. Therefore, the most common way to visit the ancient town is to take a carriage.
