|The place where Yang Guifei died. In 756 AD, An Lushan's rebel army broke through Tongguan, and Emperor Xuanzong of Tang fled from Chang'an to Shu with Yang Guifei and others. When they arrived at Mawei Post Station, the tragedy of fate was played out. Yang Guozhong was killed by soldiers, and Yang Guifei, at the age of 38, was forced by the soldiers to take a silk ribbon and hang herself on a pear tree. The 72-year-old Emperor Xuanzong of Tang helplessly watched his lover die. The past prosperity was like a dream, and only the yellow earth of Mawei Post Station buried this sad past. This place has since become a pain point in history, witnessing the rapid decline of the Tang Dynasty and marking the eternal sadness of Yang Guifei, making future generations lament and sigh, with endless emotions about the rise and fall of history and the tragic fate of beautiful women. There are several scenic spots worth visiting in and around Mawei Post Station: Mawei Post Station Folk Culture Village - Features: A national 4A-level tourist attraction with ancient architecture, traditional handicraft workshops, old cave dwellings, various Guanzhong-style snacks, and folk art performances such as Qin Opera and shadow puppetry. - Location: Located in Lijiapo Village, Mawei Subdistrict Office, Xingping, Xianyang.  Yang Guifei Tomb Museum - Features: The museum has Yang Guifei's tomb, a sacrificial hall, a stele corridor, a stone carving exhibition area, etc. The tomb is wrapped in blue bricks and is semi-circular in shape, with steles of famous people from the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties embedded in the corridor. - Location: Located 500 meters west of Mawei Town Street, Xingping City, on Mawei Slope.  Huangshan Palace - Features: A Taoist holy place in the early Western Han Dynasty, more than 2,200 years old, with attractions such as Taishang Huai, Jade Emperor Hall, and Sanqing Hall. There is a temple fair on the 15th day of the second lunar month every year. - Location: Located about 1 km north of Mawei Street, Xingping City.  Maoling Museum - Features: A Western Han Dynasty museum with the tomb of Emperor Wu of Han, the tomb of Huo Qubing, and a large group of stone carvings. The museum has a rich collection, and the stone carvings in front of Huo Qubing's tomb are treasures of ancient Chinese sculpture art. - Location: Not far from Mawei Post Station.

The South Bed and North Kang Exhibition Hall of Maweiyi Folk Customs Square is located in the Folk Customs Square on the south side of the Visitor Reception Center of Maweiyi Folk Culture Experience Park. 👍Most recommended: The southern beds on display are wedding beds. There are Qiangong beds, two-step beds, and three-step beds. They are a kind of large bed widely used by wealthy families during the Ming and Qing dynasties. It usually appears as a dowry for a rich lady. There is a floor under the step-out bed with a door railing. Because the south is warm and there are many mosquitoes and flies, the bed frame is used to hang a mosquito net. As the name suggests, the "Thousand-Work Bed" requires a thousand man-hours to build. These beds have complex structures and exquisite craftsmanship, with emphasis on lacquer and inlay art. The surrounding panels are decorated with carvings and paintings of different themes, most of which are auspicious patterns and folk stories. Such a bed is not only a work of art and a luxury item, but also the crystallization of history, culture, art and hard work. ✅Must experience: The kang in the north is an earthen kang (fire kang), made of adobe or blue bricks, and is placed inside the cave, commonly known as "manjianpao (a kang with a distance between the top of the cave surface)". Quilts are neatly stacked on the kang, and a wardrobe is placed on it. The kang skirt is built around the kang with blue bricks, and the kang edge is thick. The walls inside the cave are all painted, and woodblock New Year pictures are posted on the walls. Old-fashioned handmade wooden cabinets, wooden chairs and other furniture are placed on the ground next to the kang edge. Because the weather in the north is cold, people usually sleep on a heated kang. The kang in cave dwellings is warm in winter and cool in summer, making it ideal for resting and relieving fatigue, and is a favorite of northerners. There is an old saying in the countryside: "Thirty acres of land, a cow, a wife, children, and a warm bed." ❤Recommendation reason: The southern bed and the northern kang show the differences in regional climate and lifestyle, and understand the differences in history, culture and customs between the north and the south. On the second day of the New Year's Day holiday, the family drove for two hours to visit Xingping Maweiyi Folk Village. I came here again after two years and found that the environment here is getting better and better. The floor has been repaved and the store is clean and tidy inside and out. Because we went early and there were fewer tourists, our family wandered around the place, each of us drank a bowl of thick soy milk, bought braised tofu and steamed buns to take away, and my mother and I ate tofu pudding and fried cakes, which tasted really good. Maweiyi is the best managed folk village in Xi'an. It is the most beautiful season around May Day every year. When you come here, you can see high-quality roses of various colors everywhere, with big buds, red, yellow and pink competing for beauty. You can walk around, then sit in the teahouse in the Folk Square to drink tea, appreciate the flowers, and enjoy the slow life. It is really pleasant. After visiting the folk village, the family came to a halal restaurant in Xingping County for lunch. Unexpectedly, the restaurant was so popular that the waiting time for a table was more than half an hour. Finally we sat down to eat, and were satisfied with the dishes, steamed buns and environment. After having a good meal and a drink, we went to visit the Maoling Museum not far away. The museum has a rich collection. It not only has the tomb of the young god of war of the Western Han Dynasty - General Huo Qubing, and 14 national treasures, but also has pavilions, towers, bridges and flowing water. The environment is extremely beautiful. The 50 yuan ticket is worth it. It is a place you want to visit again after visiting it once. It was already evening when we left Maoling Museum and returned home. The day’s holiday schedule was rich, colorful and enjoyable.

Mawei Post Scenic Area is located about 11 kilometers west of Xingping City, Shaanxi Province, and about 39 kilometers from Xianyang. It is a national 4A level scenic area. The Mawei Post Scenic Area is built with the tomb of Yang Guifei and Huangshan Palace as the background, featuring a snack street, a folk square, a stage, and a tea garden. The scenic area is known as one of the ten most beautiful villages in China, suitable for sightseeing and relaxation. When visiting the Mawei Post Scenic Area, if you get tired, have a pot of tea, listen to the Qin tune, and think back to the Anshi Rebellion. Emperor Tang Xuanzong fled west to Mawei Slope with Yang Guifei and others. Yang Guifei was executed, and the love story of the ages ended with a beautiful woman causing disaster, and a three-foot white silk ended her life.
