Lovely art museum in downtown Calgary
The Glenbow museum is an art and history museum located in downtown Calgary with a lovely and vast collection of local art. It's a great place to visit if you have time and you are interested in art pieces.
As of recently, admission is even free so that's also a further incentive to visit. The art pieces are very interesting and meticulously done. They also mostly feature a western and nature theme, which really resonates with Calgary and western Canada as a whole. It's also highly informative as there are some history sections that tell of the overall history of the area.
Overall, I think it's a great way to spend the afternoon, especially on a rainy day (like me). It's not difficult to find and if you're in downtown, spare some time for a visit; you'll be greeted with lovely pieces. You'll also find a very calming and beautiful atmosphere.

This museum not only has a lot of artifacts that showcase Western culture and history, but also many reconstructions of historical living scenes. The themed exhibitions here show the history of early European immigrants and local indigenous people.
The museum's interior space is divided into several levels. It is not only a museum, but you can also see some artworks from Europe and Asia inside. It is also a gallery and a library.
The entire visit here is free, and it is very close to the Calgary Tower and Chinatown, so you can drop by when you are on a free trip.
