The fort was built in 1894, during the 20th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty. The two remaining forts were built using a mixture of glutinous rice, alum, lime, and sand. They cover an area of 207 square meters, and the remaining height of the forts is 4.15 and 4.45 meters. The large iron cannon in the middle was built in 1888 by the Jiangnan Arsenal (the predecessor of Jiangnan Shipyard) founded by Li Hongzhang. It was the most advanced Armstrong technology of the time. The iron cannon weighs about 16.7 tons in total, and the barrel can be adjusted to an angle of 20–35 degrees. The barrel is 460 cm long, and the breech has a door structure that can be opened and closed. The base below can rotate 360 degrees. The weight and size of the iron cannon are the largest of any ancient cannon. Two of these cannons were cast, but only one remains intact. Apart from the surface of the fort being weathered and eroded and some parts of the iron cannon being damaged, it is basically intact and is known as the "Number One Cannon in the World." It is a national key cultural relic protection unit.

Iron components are riveted between the balustrade stones, the pillars and the ground rivets, and glutinous rice juice is poured between the components. In the middle of the stone bridge, there is a swirl pattern of thousand-jin stone relief. There are 4 pairs of bridge pillars. On the west side, "Sail eastward to Sanmaokou of Jalian Lian, and drive south to look at the top of Jiufeng in the distance." In the middle, "Southern hunting crossing, Jinggong Temple, is still called Wanxi, and the west area along Dayitang has been named forever. "Belongs to Zhaojing"; on the east side "Half Moon Yan Yan Zhaojing Wufang Gate, Changhong Ring Wanhe Three County Traffic", in the middle "Across the bank Gongxingxu south overlooks the sea, the sand leads to Han River in the north, and the clear moon shadow of Hengtang connects to Zepu in the east "Xiaochuan". The top of the stone on the east side is engraved with the inscription "The Great Stone Bridge of the Wucheng Temple was rebuilt in the spring of the 18th year of the Republic of China", and the stone on the west side is engraved with the inscription "The Big Stone Bridge on the Wuchian Temple". The lower end of the middle-hole coupon slab is engraved with the surname of the person who donated money to build the bridge and the amount of money donated.
