A 45-minute drive from Aberdeen city in Scotland is the famous fishing town of Peterhead. A population of only 17,000 people gives you a quiet and peaceful feeling as you stroll down the cobbled streets in the centre of the town.

Peterhead is a quaint town just north of Aberdeen. There are two beaches…the Ugie beach and the Lido beach. They are both facing the North Sea and superb for walking and enjoying the fresh air.
For a cooler and milder summer holiday, head to Peterhead for a less touristy but very refreshing beach break!

Dracula’s Castle
Attraction name: Slains castle
Location: Peterhead, Aberdeenshire in Scotland
Dating back more than 500 years, go and visit the famous Slains Castle ruins in the north east of Scotland. You can park the car nearby and walk to the castle for a FREE entry.
The castle inspired the movie Dracula. The grounds are big and by the sea. Go visit and feel the history.

North Sea Lighthouse
Location: Boddam village near Peterhead, Aberdeenshire in Scotland.
The village of Boddam lies just to the south of Peterhead and separated from it by Sandford Bay and Peterhead Power Station. You can travel here by getting on a bus from Aberdeen bus station. The bus goes to Boddam before reaching Peterhead.
The lighthouse tower is 35m high, and there are 166 steps leading to the top.
