There’s a place called “State-run Cold Noodles” where the noodles are made from buckwheat, and the broth is sweet, sour, and icy. Changying Century City is great for young people. ⚠️ Don’t buy a full-day ticket. After 2 PM, entry is half price, and the park closes at 9 PM, which is enough time to enjoy it. The meat is decent and the price is fair. If you want to avoid crowds, walk to the back of the island where there’s a coral stone beach almost empty of people. ⚠️ Be careful at Nanwan Monkey Island. The monkeys aren’t afraid of people and will snatch food right from your hands. It’s best not to bring food into the park or hide it in your bag. Also, 🦟 mosquitoes are fierce on the island, so bring insect repellent. 07 Foshan | Guangdong Foshan is a city to explore at a relaxed pace without a strict itinerary. Qinghui Garden is a classic Lingnan garden. ⚠️ It’s very crowded on weekends, so I recommend going early on a weekday. It opens at 9 AM, and you’ll basically have the garden to yourself. The koi in the pond are huge. If you stand by the edge, they’ll come close and open their mouths for food. 🍜 After Qinghui Garden, walk 10 minutes to Huagai Road in Daliang. There’s a shop called “Minxin Old Store” where the double-skin milk is made with pure water buffalo milk. The milk skin on top can be lifted. I suggest visiting Xiqiao Mountain in the afternoon. ⏰ Take the cable car up to the halfway point at 3 PM, then hike to the summit to catch the sunset. There’s a Guanyin statue at the top. Watch the mountain breeze in Nyingchi, listen to the water in Lishui, chase the snowline in Altay, and rely on sea breeze and indoor routes in Shenzhen.
