#easytravelpost Maintaining a solid workout routine while traveling along the Turquoise Coast is always rewarding, and hitting a session at Shape Training Club in Kalkan makes it seamless. Equipped with everything you need for a heavy strength workout, this gym provides a great training atmosphere. But the absolute best part of the session? Rewarding yourself right after with a crisp, refreshing Iced Americano. Sipping a cold, high-protein espresso boost as your heart rate settles is the ultimate way to recharge before heading out to enjoy Kalkan’s stunning coastal views. What is your go-to post-workout routine when traveling—a cold iced coffee or a classic protein shake? 📍 Shape Training Club / Kalkan Gym - Fitness, Kalkan, Kaş/Antalya, Turkey #hotdiscussions

#worthitornot Whenever I'm heading to the beach, there are a few things I never leave behind. For my day at Gerenlik Beach in Kaş, my beach bag had everything I needed: a cap for shade, sunglasses for the bright Mediterranean sun, sunscreen to protect my skin, and a small bottle of perfume to feel refreshed after a swim. They're all simple items, but together they make the difference between a good beach day and a great one. Since I started packing these essentials, I've never had to worry about forgetting something important. What's the one item you always pack before a beach day? 📍 Gerenlik Beach, Kaş, Antalya, Türkiye

We drove all over Kas and Kalkan, and I can confidently say that this hotel has the most beautiful views!!! 🔥🔥🔥 It's so perfectly located at the very tip of the peninsula in Kas, on a hill above the main development, that literally every vantage point offers breathtaking views of the open sea, the islands in the distance, and part of the coastline!!! 🤩 The beauty is simply breathtaking; no photo or video can capture 💯 the sheer scale of the view!!! If you're heading to this area and looking for a hotel with beautiful views from the room or the pool, look no further! You've found it! 👍 There are two pools, and the infinity pool is absolutely magical! It feels like it's floating in mid-air, the water blending into the sea! It's sooo beautiful! 🤩🤌👌🫰 Plus, the hotel itself is brand new, with a modern style! It's a pleasure to be here 🥰 I've hardly seen this location in any guidebooks, so I'm literally taking it from my heart and sharing this find. The name of the hotel is Lyxos Hotel 🩷 #turkey #turkey #kasturkey #kas

#bucketlistdestinations When I added Turkey’s Turquoise Coast to my travel bucket list, everyone pictured packed summer beach clubs and crowded boat tours. But visiting Kaş during the low season gave me something far better: an authentic, tranquil Mediterranean escape where I had ancient ruins and coastal coves almost entirely to myself. One of my absolute favorite moments was visiting Kaputaş Beach. I had seen photos of this famous canyon cove packed with sunbeds, but stepping down those iconic 180 stone steps during the off-season felt like discovering a secret hideaway. Sitting on the quiet shoreline surrounded by towering cliffs and electric-turquoise water without bumping shoulders with anyone was pure magic. Exploring the region’s ancient history under the cool Mediterranean sun was another major highlight. Kaş serves as one of the best base camps for the world-famous Lycian Way. Stretching roughly 540 km (335 miles) from Fethiye to Antalya along the Teke Peninsula, this historic route is marked by distinct red-and-white painted trail markers. It follows ancient Roman roads, mule paths, and coastal tracks connecting over 25 ancient Lycian city-states. While day-hiking a section near the Patara Ancient City, I wandered through the grand 1,400-seat Lycian League parliament building and even stumbled across a wild land tortoise casually strolling along the stone path! Back in Kaş town, slow travel truly took over. I spent hours wandering through cobblestone alleyways framed by brilliant magenta bougainvillea cascading over wooden balconies. Down at the marina, traditional wooden boats bobbed peacefully in crystal-clear waters while local cafe owners welcomed me with hot Turkish tea and zero rush. 💡 My Low-Season Travel Tips for Kaş: 🔹Pack for Trekking: Mild weather makes the off-season the absolute best time for hiking sections of the Lycian Way. 🔹Ride Local Transport: Local dolmuş minibuses still run reliably between Kaş town, Kaputaş Beach, and neighboring historical sites. 🔹Take Your Time: Off-season means shopkeepers and locals have plenty of time for genuine conversations and local recommendations. 📍 Location: Kaş, Antalya Province, Turquoise Coast, Turkey #kaş #turkey #kaputasbeach #patara #lycianway #nature #slowtraveling

#epictravelmoments There is an unmistakable magic to simply wandering around the old town streets of Kalkan. Wrapped in vibrant pink bougainvillea blooming against classic whitewashed Ottoman-Greek architecture, every narrow cobblestone alley leads to something breathtaking. As you stroll past artisanal jewelry shops, local leather boutiques, and cozy rooftop cafes, the gentle Mediterranean sea breeze follows you up and down the winding hills. It is the kind of town where skipping a map completely and letting yourself get lost is the best way to spend a golden afternoon. Do you prefer structured sightseeing when exploring a coastal town or just getting lost in its local alleyways? 📍 Old Town Streets, Kalkan, Kaş/Antalya, Turkey #hotdiscussions

It's no secret that modern-day Turkey is home to an unbelievable number of ancient ruins! That’s because this region was the very heart of the ancient world and a crossroads of great civilizations. You’ll stumble upon ancient cities literally at every turn, and even if you wanted to, it would be impossible to see and explore all of this heritage. The most famous archaeological sites have long since become open-air museums complete with ticket booths and crowds of tourists, but there are also more "wild," off-the-beaten-path spots. 📍 One of them is the ancient Lycian city of Kyaneai (Kyaneai Büyük Sarnıç) To get here, you have to turn off the main road and drive for a few kilometers along a pretty rugged, rocky dirt road. If you have a low-clearance car, take your time and be super careful, or just hike up instead (judging by Google reviews, hiking trails from the bottom are quite popular). We only recommend driving right up to the amphitheater if you are fully confident in your driving skills and your vehicle. 💫 But once you reach the top, you'll find something you rarely experience in popular tourist spots: absolute silence and a feeling like you've actually traveled back in time. You'll see a majestic, grass-grown Hellenistic amphitheater, dozens of monumental tombs of the Lycian nobility, ancient ruins, and breathtaking views of the mountains and the sea! During our visit, there was a light rain shower at first, but then the sun came out. The wet stones, gorgeous clouds, green slopes, and golden pre-sunset light made this place feel even more atmospheric and cinematic, and we even managed to capture some drone footage. It might seem like just a quick stopover, but it's an incredibly memorable one!

I spent a long time choosing a hotel in the center of Kaş to truly soak up the town’s vibe and step right into the thick of it all. Right from the doorstep, you’re in the heart of the action—the Old Town, the liveliest restaurant-lined streets, the marina with its boats, and even the famous amphitheater are all within walking distance. 🫰 A huge plus is that this specific little pocket where the hotel is located is flat, even though the rest of the town is built on a steep hill! ☝️ Walking to and from the sea is very convenient and only takes a couple of minutes. 👍 As for the hotel itself, it’s brand new and modern, featuring incredibly stylish interiors in both the rooms and common areas, plus a lovely lobby with the cutest cat—the hotel’s mascot! ☺️ Another major highlight is the breakfast. With a wide selection, fresh pastries, and freshly brewed coffee, it’s top-tier—even compared to some more premium hotels! 😋 Everything just clicked perfectly here at Luff Suites Hotel! Definitely save this one for your next trip! 🫰

Xanthos in Turkiye is a World UNESCO Site near the village of Kinik in the county of Kalkan. It’s one of those magical places where it’s so peaceful and quiet that you can feel the thousands of years of history in one magical site. 🏛️ On a hot summer day in July I set off on the local bus from Kalkan and walked to the site from Kinik. It was like walking in the steps of the ancient Lycians. This was my second visit and I was determined to visit the Lycian tombs to the north of the ancient city. The site is quite large and involves a lot of walking and occasional climbing! It’s a marvellous experience to be amongst so much history. The site is still being explored by archaeologists and there was a digging expedition going on when I was visiting. 🏛️ The Harpy Tomb stands majestic in the heat of the sun and it’s very impressive. Nearby the deep orchestra pit seats 5000 people in its day and was restructured during Roman times for gladiator fights. The Acropolis on the hilltop was a bit of a climb through bushes and trees and most of it is hidden until you arrive and it’s like you have discovered it for the first time. The carved Sarcophagi are still in situ and have images of animals, Lycian inscriptions and harpies carved into the rock. I was mesmerised with the artistry. After a rest under a tree to paint and draw my surroundings I visited the spaces where the Nereid monument, the monumental Pavaya Tomb, The Lion Tomb and the Horse Tomb once stood and tried to picture the magnificence of them before they were taken to the British Museum. 🏛️ Every time I visit I am more captivated by Xanthos, my imagination is set alight and I always leave with a sense of connection to an ancient past. 🏛️ As a solo female traveller I was very safe walking round the site on my own. There was a cafe, a small shop, toilets and a nice place to eat my lunch. A memorable day to be repeated again. It’s a great visit for artists who like to explore and paint. I hope you enjoy my images and visit the mythical Lycian civilisation someday soon. #solotraveller #solofemaletravel #museums #travel #arts #archeologicalsite #archesnationalpark #turkeytravel #turkiye #lycianway #lyciancoast #xanthos #Harpy

Pros: ✅ Accessibility: Right in town, easy to reach on foot or by car (roadside parking available). ✅ Space: Plenty of room to settle in on the ancient steps. ✅ Vibe: Often features live music (Turkish songs and covers of global hits). ✅ Photos: Professional photography services are available right on-site. Cons: ❌ Crowds: Because it's a popular spot, you'll have to work for that perfect shot without tourists in the frame 😅 Bottom Line: 10/10 for aesthetics, 6/10 for privacy. 🌅

While their whole menu is packed with great choices, my absolute go-to recommendation is their incredible Four Cheese Pizza (Quattro Formaggi). #underratedspots #underratedspots Kaş is the kind of place that makes your plans disappear. I arrived thinking the sea would be the highlight. And yes — the water really is that blue. But somehow, the memories I kept weren’t only from swimming. They were from walking down stone steps completely covered in bougainvillea and suddenly seeing the Mediterranean appear between the flowers. From sitting at a small table close to the water, ordering nothing in a hurry, and watching the mountains turn hazy in the afternoon heat. From those quiet hours when the sea was almost impossibly bright and there was nowhere else I wanted to be. One afternoon, I stayed by the water much longer than planned. No sightseeing. No checklist. Just warm sun, clear water and the tiny islands sitting on the horizon. And that was when I realized what makes Kaş different. It doesn’t feel like a place you have to “do.” It feels like somewhere you slowly settle into. You swim. You wander. You stop because a street is covered in flowers. You sit down because the view is too good to walk past. And suddenly an entire day has disappeared without ever feeling wasted. Türkiye has places that impress you immediately. Kaş did something better. It made me stop looking for the next place. Maybe the most underrated destinations aren’t hidden at all. Maybe they’re simply the places that teach you to stay. #underratedspots #kaş #Türkiye #turkishriviera #mediterranean #hiddentürkiye #slowtravel #coastalescape #travelstories

#sunrisescenes Where the Morning Belonged Only to Me There’s a rare kind of magic in seeing a place before the rest of the world wakes up. No crowds. No footsteps behind you. No voices competing with the sound of the sea. Just the horizon slowly changing color, the first warmth of sunlight touching the water, and that quiet feeling that you’ve discovered a version of the destination most people will never see. One morning while traveling, I woke up before my alarm, stepped outside, and walked toward the water without really planning to. The streets were almost empty and the air still carried the coolness of the night. Then the sky began to change. Soft blue turned to pale pink, then gold. The sea was so calm that it almost looked like glass, reflecting every new shade above it. I remember standing there thinking that only a few hours later, this same place would be filled with movement, music, conversations and people rushing from one thing to the next. But in that moment, there was nothing to rush toward. I didn’t take out my phone immediately. I didn’t think about where I needed to go next. I simply watched. And somehow, that quiet sunrise became more memorable than many of the places I had carefully planned to visit. Travel is often described through landmarks, hotels and destinations. But years later, what stays with us is usually something much smaller: the temperature of the morning air, the sound of water reaching the shore, the exact color of the sky when the sun finally appeared. That morning reminded me that sometimes the most beautiful part of discovering a place happens before the day officially begins. Some destinations give you photographs. Some give you stories. And every once in a while, a sunrise gives you a moment you wish you could stay inside forever. #sunrisescenes #sunrise #goldenhour #travelstories #morningmagic #beautifuldestinationss #travelmoments #wanderlust

Stand-up paddleboarding, better known as SUP, has become one of the most enjoyable ways to explore the coastline. And Türkiye—with its turquoise bays, sheltered coves, dramatic cliffs and crystal-clear waters—is an incredible destination for discovering the country from a completely different perspective. Instead of simply sitting on the beach, imagine standing on the water, paddling quietly along a hidden bay, looking down through transparent turquoise water and stopping for a swim whenever you find the perfect spot. Here are some of the most beautiful places in Türkiye to experience SUP. 🩵 1. Ölüdeniz, Fethiye — Paddle Through a Blue Lagoon Ölüdeniz is one of Türkiye’s most iconic coastal landscapes, and its calm lagoon makes it particularly attractive for SUP beginners. The sheltered water provides a peaceful environment for learning balance and getting comfortable on a paddleboard. From the water, the surrounding mountains and famous turquoise coastline create an unforgettable panorama. Best for: Beginners, first-time SUP experiences and scenic paddling. 📍 Fethiye, Muğla 🌿 2. Göcek — A Paddleboarder’s Dream Surrounded by pine-covered mountains and numerous secluded bays, Göcek offers a spectacular setting for exploring the Turkish Aegean by SUP. The protected coves and islands allow you to discover small beaches and quiet corners that can be difficult to reach from land. Early mornings are especially beautiful, when the sea can become almost mirror-like. Göcek is the place to choose if you want your SUP experience to feel like a slow journey through a Mediterranean postcard. Best for: Island-hopping, peaceful coves and longer exploration routes. 📍 Göcek, Muğla 🌲 3. Datça — Crystal-Clear Water and Hidden Coves Datça is one of the most rewarding destinations for SUP lovers looking for a quieter coastline. The peninsula is surrounded by numerous coves, many of which offer sheltered conditions during the calmer hours of the day. Palamutbükü, Hayıtbükü, Kargı and Bencik Bay are among the areas frequently associated with paddleboarding and other water activities. Bencik Bay is particularly atmospheric, with pine-covered hills surrounding the narrow inlet and calm water creating a beautiful natural setting for paddling. Best for: Nature lovers, beginners and discovering secluded bays. 📍 Datça, Muğla 🐚 4. Kaş — Paddle Above the Mediterranean Kaş combines spectacular Mediterranean scenery with exceptionally clear water. The coastline around Kaş offers numerous coves and small bays where experienced paddlers can explore the shoreline from the water. The underwater visibility can make even a short SUP session feel like a journey through an aquarium. For beginners, sheltered areas and calm morning conditions are preferable. More experienced paddlers can plan longer coastal routes, always taking wind, boat traffic and sea conditions into account. Best for: Clear water, snorkeling stops and Mediterranean scenery. 📍 Kaş, Antalya 🌊 5. Akyaka — Paddle Through a Different Kind of Landscape Akyaka offers something special: SUP isn’t limited to the open sea. The famous Azmak River provides a calm-water environment surrounded by lush vegetation, creating a completely different paddling experience from the Mediterranean and Aegean coast. For travelers who want to combine water sports with nature, Akyaka is an excellent addition to a Turkish summer itinerary. Best for: Calm-water paddling, nature and beginners. 📍 Akyaka, Muğla 🏝️ 6. Ayvalık & Cunda — The Northern Aegean’s Hidden SUP Gem When people think about SUP in Türkiye, the southern coast often comes first. But Ayvalık and Cunda in the North Aegean deserve attention too. The islands and sheltered bays around Ayvalık can create relatively calm paddling conditions, while the coastline offers a beautiful combination of turquoise water, rocky shores, pine trees and traditional Aegean scenery. Paddling around Cunda gives you a completely different perspective of the island and its surrounding coastline. Best for: Aegean scenery, sheltered waters and exploring by island. 📍 Ayvalık, Balıkesir 🌅 7. Marmaris & Selimiye — Paddle Into the Aegean Sunset The Marmaris and Selimiye coastline is filled with sheltered bays, forested hills and deep blue water. SUP is a particularly beautiful way to experience this landscape because you can move quietly along the shoreline without the noise of a motorboat. For the best experience, choose an early morning or late-afternoon session when the wind is calmer and the light creates beautiful reflections on the water. Best for: Sunset paddles, scenic bays and a relaxed Aegean atmosphere. 📍 Muğla ☀️ When Is the Best Time for SUP in Türkiye? The most comfortable period is generally late spring through early autumn, with May–October commonly recommended for SUP activities. However, conditions vary significantly by location and day. The most important rule is simple: Check the weather and sea conditions before launching. Even a sheltered bay can become challenging when wind increases. Beginners should stay close to shore, avoid strong winds and currents, and use appropriate safety equipment. 🏄♀️ Why SUP Is the Perfect Way to See Türkiye SUP isn’t just a water sport. It is a way of travelling. You can paddle into a hidden cove, stop for a swim, watch fish beneath your board, explore a coastline inaccessible by road and finish the day floating quietly beneath a Mediterranean sunset. From the turquoise waters of Ölüdeniz to the pine-covered bays of Datça, Türkiye offers an extraordinary variety of landscapes to discover from a paddleboard. So, where would you paddle first? 🇹🇷🌊 #Türkiye #TurkeyTravel #VisitTurkey #ExploreTurkey #SUP #StandUpPaddleboardingg #Paddleboarding #WaterSports #TurkishCoast #TurquoiseCoast #Ölüdeniz #Fethiye #Kaş #Datça #Göcek

Kaş is the Turkish town where you feel the Greek vibe at every step! 🇬🇷🇹🇷 Before my trip, I was sure all of Turkey looked the same: loud all-inclusives, sand, crowds of tourists... But boy, was I wrong! The vibe here is completely different! It’s a cozy port town in southern Turkey, rightfully called the "Turkish Santorini." People don’t fly here for wild parties — it’s all about narrow streets, whitewashed houses with red tile roofs, stunning bougainvilleas, and a "living" history atmosphere. Kaş stands on the site of ancient Antiphellos (once part of the Lycian League!), and even its name translates to "eyebrow" — because of its location right on the hillside. This town is literally eye-catching! What to see and do in Kaş? 🏛️ ✨ Take a stroll through the center! Right in town, you can check out a 2nd-century BC amphitheater and top-tier Lycian tombs for free (look out for the Lion Tomb from the 4th century BC — it pops up right in the middle of a street!). History isn’t hidden behind glass here: antiquity sits right next to cozy cafes and cute souvenir shops. ✨ Beaches! They are mostly pebbly, but you’ll easily forgive that for the incredible views. The best beaches outside the town: · Kaputaş (Kaputaş Plajı, Kaş-Antalya Yolu, 07580 Kaş/Antalya, Turkey): a famous turquoise cove, an absolute must-see! · Patara (Patara Plajı, Gelemiş Mah., 07976 Kaş/Antalya, Turkey): an endless sandy beach stretching up to 20 km; in summer, you can even spot sea turtles here! ✨ Fan of adventure? Kaş is for you! · Diving — Kaş's waters hold secrets: from ruins to sunken airplanes! · Boat tours — tons of trips to secret coves and the romantic Greek island of Kastellorizo. · Trekking the Lycian Way — for hiking lovers! · Heart Cave near the D400 highway — a top spot for photos! Lifehack Guide 🚀 📌 How to get there There’s no airport in Kaş — the closest ones are in Antalya (180–200 km) and Dalaman (150 km). From the airports, you can take a bus, minivan, or grab a taxi/transfer (check trip.com for tickets!). The road from Antalya features mountain serpentines and simply wow views 🤩, and the trip takes 3–4 hours. 📌 When to go The best time for Kaş is May to October. In July and August, the sun is scorching and it gets super crowded, but during the shoulder season, the heat backs off and the sea is still top-notch! 📌 Where to stay It’s best to book a hotel in the center or near the marina — everything important will be close by because Kaş is small and cozy, making it a joy to walk around. But the streets are seriously hilly — comfy shoes are a lifesaver! 📌 What you must try Local eateries serve the freshest seafood and Mediterranean fare — don't miss the meze, the catch of the day, and, of course, Turkish tea with a panoramic sunset view. In the evening, a must-visit are the rooftop bars to catch the most vibrant sunset over the Greek island. 📌 Budget hack Transfer sharing — find a travel buddy and split the cost! Plus, all the top ancient sites in the center are absolutely free. Kaş isn’t just a resort; it’s a retreat where time seems to stand still. You truly rest your soul here! If you’re tired of the noise and want to experience authentic Turkey with a Greek soul — it's a must-visit! I already want to go back 😍 Have you been to Kaş, or are you just dreaming of going? Drop a line in the comments — let’s share tips and inspire each other to travel! 😊

There is another Antalya that most people never see. Beyond the famous beaches, crowded viewpoints and resort towns, the coastline hides something completely different: sea caves carved into the cliffs, glowing blue chambers and entrances you can only properly appreciate from the water. And yes — the places below are real. 💙 1. Mavi Mağara — Kaş / Kalkan Hidden along the coastline near Kaputaş, Mavi Mağara feels almost unreal when the sunlight reaches inside. Light enters through the openings in the rock and reflects through the water, filling parts of the cave with intense shades of blue. From outside, it can look like just another opening in the cliff. Inside, it becomes an entirely different world. This is the kind of place that explains why exploring Antalya from the sea feels so different from exploring it by road. 🌊 2. Gök Mağarası — Finike Finike hides something far more mysterious beneath the surface. Gök Mağarası is an underwater cave where freshwater emerging from inside the cave eventually meets the Mediterranean. Unlike a normal sightseeing cave, this is serious diving territory and not somewhere to enter casually without the proper experience and equipment. Sometimes the most fascinating places on the coast are the ones you can barely see from above. ✨ 3. Fosforlu Mağara — Alanya Around Alanya’s rocky peninsula is a small cave that can be entered from the sea. Its name comes from the unusual luminous effect visible on the water inside. When the light, rock and sea meet in the darkness, the water seems to glow. It is a completely different side of Alanya from the long beaches most visitors associate with the city. 🏴☠️ 4. Korsanlar Mağarası — Alanya This one comes with a little Mediterranean mystery. Boats can enter through the cave opening beneath the cliffs, while local stories connect the cavern with the pirates who once moved through this coastline. Whether you come for the legends or simply for the scenery, approaching a huge cave directly from the sea is unforgettable. ⸻ What I love most about Antalya is that you can travel the same coastline twice and have two completely different experiences. From the road, you see mountains and beaches. From the water, you start noticing tiny openings in the cliffs. Some lead to quiet coves. Some lead beneath enormous walls of rock. And some reveal caves you would never know existed if you stayed on shore. 📌 A few things I’d keep in mind · Go early when the sea is calmer and the light is softer. · For sea-access caves, a local licensed boat or experienced guide is the safer option. · Never enter an underwater cave without appropriate cave-diving training and equipment. · Weather and sea conditions matter more than any photo opportunity. · Leave these fragile places exactly as you found them. The famous beaches may bring you to Antalya. But sometimes it’s the openings hidden between the cliffs that make you want to come back. 📍 Which would you explore first: a glowing sea cave, a completely hidden cove, or an underwater cave? #antalya #Türkiye #hiddentürkiye #seacaves #mavimağara #kaş #kalkan #finike #alanya #mediterranean #turkishriviera #ExploreTürkiye #hiddengems #crystalclearwater #travelmoments

Crystal Clear Waters Worth every kilometer People often ask me which beach has the clearest water in Türkiye. The truth is… It’s almost impossible to choose just one. Some places are so transparent that your paddleboard seems to float in the air. Others have emerald caves where the sunlight creates incredible reflections beneath the cliffs. The best part? Every destination has its own personality. Some are perfect for snorkeling. Some are ideal for paddleboarding. Others are simply places where you sit quietly and enjoy the view. My favorites include: 📍Kaş 📍Göcek 📍Datça 📍Marmaris 📍Fethiye Which destination surprised you the most? Hashtags #crystalclearwater #Türkiye #travel #mediterranean #beachlife #exploremore

If you are looking for a destination where every trip can feel completely different, put Türkiye on your list. What makes Türkiye special is not just its famous landmarks. It is the incredible variety you can experience within the same country — ancient cities, turquoise coastlines, dramatic landscapes, colorful bazaars, mountain villages, vibrant cities, local food and centuries of history. 🏛️ Start with history Türkiye is home to some of the world’s most fascinating ancient sites. Walk through the ruins of Ephesus, explore the ancient city of Hierapolis, discover the extraordinary landscapes of Cappadocia, or wander through the historic streets of Istanbul. You don’t have to be a history lover to enjoy these places. Seeing ancient architecture surrounded by modern life makes the experience feel completely different from visiting a museum. 🌊 Then head to the Mediterranean and Aegean If your idea of a perfect holiday involves swimming in clear blue water, Türkiye has plenty to offer. From Antalya and Kaş to Fethiye, Bodrum and Marmaris, the coastline is filled with beautiful beaches, hidden bays, boat trips and seaside towns. And the best part? You can combine a relaxing beach holiday with historical sites, local villages and incredible food. 🎈 Experience Cappadocia Cappadocia feels almost unreal. The fairy chimneys, valleys and cave formations create a landscape unlike anywhere else. Watching hundreds of hot-air balloons rise over the valleys at sunrise is one of those travel experiences that stays in your memory long after you leave. 🕌 Don’t miss Istanbul Istanbul deserves a trip of its own. It is where Europe and Asia meet, but the city’s identity goes far beyond its geography. Historic mosques, grand palaces, bustling bazaars, hidden streets, cafés, ferry rides and Bosphorus views all come together to create a city that is impossible to describe with just one attraction. 🍴 And then there is the food… Türkiye is a dream destination for anyone who loves food. Try Turkish breakfast, simit, gözleme, pide, kebabs, meze, baklava, Turkish delight and countless regional dishes. And don’t underestimate the small local restaurants. Some of the best meals can be found in places that don’t look particularly touristy. 🗺️ A simple Türkiye travel idea If you have around 10–14 days, you can create an incredible route: Istanbul → Cappadocia → Antalya → Kaş/Fethiye → Ephesus → Izmir This gives you a little bit of everything: 🏛️ History 🎈 Unique landscapes 🌊 Beaches 🍴 Turkish cuisine 🕌 Culture 🏙️ City life 🌅 Incredible sunsets But Türkiye is not a country you need to rush through. My favorite advice for anyone visiting is simple: Don’t only visit the places that appear on every “Top 10” list. Take a local bus. Walk through a neighborhood. Visit a small market. Stop for tea. Try something you’ve never eaten before. Talk to locals. Take a ferry. Get a little lost. Because Türkiye isn’t just about the places you photograph. It’s about the moments you didn’t plan. 🇹🇷❤️ #Turkey #Türkiye #VisitTurkey #TurkeyTravel #TravelTurkey #ExploreTurkey #TurkiyeTravel #TravelInspiration #Wanderlust #TravelGram #TravelPhotography #DiscoverTurkey #TravelBlogger #Tripcom #Thingstodo 📌 Save this for your Türkiye trip!

Some places impress you with famous landmarks. Kaş wins your heart with its atmosphere. Walking through narrow stone pathways lined with palm trees, then suddenly seeing the endless turquoise Mediterranean stretching in front of you… that’s the kind of moment that stays with you long after the trip ends. The water here is unbelievably clear. Even from above, you can see the seabed, while the mountains surrounding the bay create one of the most beautiful coastal views in Türkiye. Every corner feels like a postcard. 🌊 Things you shouldn’t miss: · Swim in the crystal-clear coves around Kaş. · Take a boat trip to Kekova and discover the famous sunken city. · Watch the sunset from the harbor with a Turkish tea or ice cream. · Wander through the charming old town filled with boutique shops and cafés. · Visit nearby Kaputaş Beach or Patara Beach for a completely different coastal experience. 🍴 Local food worth trying: Fresh seafood, grilled octopus, Turkish mezes, handmade gözleme, and traditional Turkish breakfast with an incredible sea view. 📍 Travel Tips: · The best months are May–October. · Wear comfortable shoes—the streets are beautiful but hilly. · Most attractions are within walking distance. · Early mornings and sunset offer the best light for photography. His. Kaş — A glimpse of authentic Turkey in one day. Historical Heritage and the Old Town · The Antiphellos Ancient Theater. A massive structure dating back to the 1st century BC, built to hold 3,000 to 4,000 spectators. The theater is remarkably well-preserved following its restoration and offers sweeping panoramic views of the sea and the Greek island of Kastellorizo. · Uzun Çarşı Street. The city's main pedestrian thoroughfare, lined with authentic Ottoman-style houses and bursting with vibrant bougainvillea. · The Lycian Lion Tomb. A famous two-story sarcophagus from the 4th century BC, located at the end of Uzun Çarşı Street. It is just one of many ancient tombs scattered across the town. Relaxing on the Çukurbağ Peninsula Isthmus · İnceboğaz Beach. Situated at the narrowest point of the isthmus, just 1.5–2 km from the town center. The spot is incredibly unique because it features two separate beach areas literally 10 meters apart, right across the road from each other: · The Bay Side (Inner): More sheltered from the wind, with warmer and calmer waters, making it perfect for families. The beach is fully equipped with everything you need: a cafe, sun loungers, umbrellas, showers, and changing cabins. · The Open Sea Side (Outer): A wild, rocky stretch with crystal-clear water, often featuring crashing waves and a refreshing breeze. Since 2020, İnceboğaz Beach has consistently earned the prestigious "Blue Flag" award for its cleanliness. Panoramic Views and Strolls · Kaş Marina. A modern 3,000 m² promenade where you can admire the yachts and speedboats. The waterfront features beautiful pedestrian walkways dotted with benches. · Viewpoints. For the best landscape views, head to either the top tiers of the Ancient Theater or the scenic walkways around the Marina.

Turkey's coziest town, which remains a hidden gem for many, is Akyaka, nestled on the shores of the Gulf of Gökova. You won't find noisy promenades or high-rise hotels here. Instead, you'll be greeted by white houses with wooden balconies, narrow streets, cozy cafes, and an incredibly peaceful vibe. 💙 What to do in Akyaka? 🚣 Take a boat ride on the Azmak River. The water is so crystal clear that you can easily see the aquatic plants and fish, even at the bottom. It almost feels like your boat is floating in mid-air. 🍽️ Dine at a riverside restaurant. Many eateries are built on stilts right over the water, serving up fresh fish literally caught that same morning. 🏄 Watch the kitesurfers. Thanks to the steady winds, the Gulf of Gökova is rated as one of the top spots in Turkey for this sport. Even if you don't surf yourself, it's a truly spectacular sight. 🏖️ Take a dip at the town beach. With its gentle slope into the sea and pristine water, it's the perfect spot for families with children. 📸 And don't forget to simply stroll through the town's streets. It's the kind of place where you just want to put your phone away, slow down, and soak in the moment. 💡 My advice: visit Akyaka for at least a day, but ideally, stay overnight. In the mornings and evenings, after the day-trippers have left, the town reveals a completely different, magical side. Akyaka is the ultimate destination for those looking to experience Turkey beyond the crowded popular resorts. It offers a perfect blend of beautiful nature, serenity, and local charm that makes you want to return again and again. Save this location so you don't forget to visit.

🌳 Kaş is a picturesque and atmospheric port town on Turkey's Mediterranean coast, located 180-200 km from Antalya. 🌳 Kaş lacks large all-inclusive hotels; small boutique hotels with breakfast and sometimes dinner are the norm. Unlike traditional Turkish resorts, Kaş has retained an intimate, bohemian Mediterranean feel with low-rise white houses draped in vibrant flowers. 🌳 Kaş has a "Little Greece" feel, as it's located near the Greek island of Meis, a feeling evident in its architecture, narrow streets, and traditional cuisine. 🌳 Kaş is surrounded by mountains and pine forests. The beaches here are predominantly pebbly and rocky, and the water is incredibly clear. The famous sandy beach of Kaputaş is nearby. 🌳 We were staying in Kemer and rented a car for a day to visit this beautiful city. The road was beautiful, a serpentine mountain road with incredible views of the coastline. We stopped often to enjoy the beauty. 🌳 Kaş is a great place to visit for a day and explore. You can certainly swim if you want, but there are few beaches; they are narrow and rocky. #turkey #turkeytravel #kaş #turkey #kemer #kaputasbeach

#underratedspots Before visiting İslamlar Mahallesi near Kalkan, I assumed the best sea views would be found along the beaches. I couldn't have been more wrong. Standing high above the coastline, I was treated to a breathtaking panorama where the mountains, traditional village houses, lush greenery, and the deep blue Mediterranean all came together in one view. It felt completely different from the busy atmosphere down by the sea. What surprised me most was how peaceful everything was. Instead of crowds, I heard birds, felt the cool mountain breeze, and simply enjoyed the scenery for much longer than I had planned. Sometimes the most unforgettable coastal views aren't found at sea level—they're discovered from the hills above. Have you ever found your favorite viewpoint far away from the beach itself? 📍 İslamlar Mahallesi, Kalkan, Kaş, Antalya, Türkiye

🌊 If you want to see a different side of Turkey, you absolutely have to visit Patara Beach. Patara is one of the longest beaches in the Mediterranean. With nearly 18 km (11 miles) of golden sand, a wide shoreline, and rolling sand dunes, it feels like you're miles away from civilization. ✨ What makes this beach special: · There are no massive resorts, endless rows of sun loungers, or loud beach clubs. Thanks to its sheer size, you can easily find a secluded spot all to yourself, even during peak season. Unlike Kaputas Beach, which is almost impossible to find empty, this is a massive advantage! ☀️ Best time to visit The best time to go is before 10:00 AM or after 4:30 PM. In the mornings, the sea is usually calmer, there are fewer crowds, and it isn’t too hot. By late afternoon, the sun feels much softer. By the way, the sunset here is hands down one of the most gorgeous on the entire coast. 🚗 How to get there from Kaş: By car: · About 40–45 minutes · The most convenient option, especially if you're exploring on your own. By dolmuş (minibus): · First, head to the village of Gelemiş (Patara) — it takes about 1 hour · From there, it's a 20–30 minute walk to the beach or a quick taxi ride. 🎒 What to pack ✔️ Water ✔️ A hat ✔️ Sunscreen ✔️ An umbrella, especially if you plan on staying for a few hours ✔️ Beach shoes ✔️ Cash for the entrance fee and small expenses like food or drinks. 🩵 If you’re staying in Kaş for a few days, definitely set aside a full day just for Patara. It’s one of those beaches you’ll remember not for its tourist infrastructure or fancy resorts, but for its breathtaking sense of space and untouched nature. · *Don't forget to save this post to your Turkey travel guide! ;)**
