Experience the local customs of Baisha Ancient Town in Lijiang

I arrived at Baisha Ancient Town in Lijiang at 4 PM. This ancient town is currently under development, but it's estimated that it will become more commercialized in the future. However, a city's economy needs to rely on tourism to boost its reputation and increase residents' income to create a better living environment. Before my trip, I browsed Yunnan travel guides on other platforms, but I found them not very helpful because everyone's travel needs and spending habits are different, so there's no one-size-fits-all "must-try" experience. By the time I arrived at Baisha Ancient Town, it was already afternoon. The grandmas' snack stalls in the ancient town were starting to close. 1️⃣ The yak beef skewers were really delicious, and I recommend you give them a try (they're not the super large meat skewers, those aren't beef). 2️⃣ The "Mantou Poet" - haha, I suddenly saw someone recommend this. I bought a fresh flower and white sugar mantou for 6 yuan. I looked at the prices of other items and felt they were expensive, but when I got the mantou, it was so big that I didn't think it was expensive at all. It's up to you how much you want to spend. (A good attitude makes everything better.) 3️⃣ I passed by a flower shop. The shops in Yunnan are really romantic. The ancient town is full of carefully tended flowers, which is simply too romantic. 4️⃣ For dinner, we found a home-style restaurant with no name diagonally across from the "Baisha" sign. It's run by an elderly couple, and the food has a very local flavor. The "watery flower" dish had a nice wok hei flavor, and the jasmine fried egg was also pretty good. 5️⃣ I highly recommend Miliang Coffee. It's a great place to take photos. I think the pour-over coffee and tiramisu are good, and the environment is very clean. I personally like it a lot. Actually, no matter which ancient town you're in in Yunnan, you can see the snow-capped mountains. How you explore depends on your mood.
