| Heidi and Grandpa's matching log cabin. The enchanting Kuerdening, as if stepping into the world of Heidi and Grandpa, and it's even more cost-effective than the Alps. There are two ways to enter the scenic area: The first is by self-driving, where you can stop and take photos in all parking areas. If you plan to go to the Nalati scenic area for a visit afterwards, self-driving is the most convenient! You can enter from Zhonggou and exit from Donggou, where there is a fork in the middle of Donggou that leads directly to Xinyuan County, so there's no need to return to the entrance of Kuerdening scenic area. The drive from Xinyuan to Nalati is only about 40 minutes. The second is by taking the scenic area shuttle bus, and here's the nanny-level strategy! First, after arriving at the entrance of the scenic area, enter the tourist service center to buy tickets. On the right hand side is the restroom, and on the left hand side, after checking tickets, you take the shuttle bus, which departs when it's full. The first stop is the Ten-Mile Gallery. The second stop is the Bee Fragrance Station (similar to the previous stop in scenery). The third stop is Qimengde, where a round-trip horse ride takes about 1.5 hours, and walking takes about 2 hours. On the left hand side is the scenic area's horse team, and you will be led if you choose to ride; on the right hand side, you can see the wooden walkway. Follow the wooden walkway up to the viewing platform to take photos, then return the same way. Heidi and Grandpa's matching log cabin is at this stop, and after climbing the wooden walkway for 10 minutes, you can see it on the left hand side. The fourth stop is Ayusai, where the small viewing platform is optional. If you're short on time, it's not recommended to waste time at the first and second stops, just visit the third and fourth stops. Finally, take the shuttle bus out from Donggou to return to the entrance of the scenic area, which takes about 60 minutes.
