| AURUA Sugar House Hotel. I had wanted to visit when the hotel was still called ALILA, and finally had the chance to come to Yangshuo only to find out it had been renamed to Sugar House Hotel. The hotel was transformed from an old sugar factory from the 1960s, adhering to the principle of 'restoring the old as old, and building the new as if it were old', the restoration work of the old buildings alone took eight years; the hotel is surrounded by mountains on three sides and is adjacent to the Li River on one side, like an architectural artwork embedded in the landscape of Guilin; there are also some small animals living in the hotel, which embodies what Teacher Ju Bin often says about integrating nature, culture, and art.
