Heavenly is more suitable for beginners, but not for absolute beginners.

However, the lounges are all open-air! If it weren't for Tahoe's mild temperatures, you'd be freezing. There are quite a few pitfalls, with many snowboarders sitting on the slopes, which can be uncomfortable. It's recommended to go as soon as it opens; before 10 AM, it seems like everyone is quite skilled, but by noon, the slopes are filled with people practicing, so it's better to head to the blue runs. The blue runs, Ridge Run and Skyline, are quite simple. Even as a green run skier, I managed to ski down them. Ridge Run is extremely wide, with great views and gentle slopes, definitely worth a try.
