The museum is situated in the former residence of the Nezu family's Nezu Aoyama. It was rebuilt in 1954, renovated in 1964, and underwent another major renovation in the second year of Heisei. In addition to the art museum building, the old residence also includes the attached Nezu Aoyama Garden. 🌟 The garden is meticulously crafted, with this Japanese-style garden designed with great care, focusing on the harmony between nature and man-made features. The garden has mountains and water, leisure pavilions, as well as torii gates and shrines, integrating all the elements seen in traditional Japanese gardens. 🌟 The museum mainly collects tea ceremony utensils and Buddhist art works, and of course, there are also some Chinese relics such as ancient Chinese bronzes, porcelain, etc. (Some works are not allowed to be photographed, so you can only look quietly). ☕️ There is also a special place outside the museum for coffee and afternoon tea, where you can order a piece of cake or coffee and drinks at the cafe after viewing the exhibition, which is particularly comfortable.
