Tirana, the capital of Albania, is not a place you should visit.

If I were to rank the capitals of Europe in terms of how boring they are, I think Tirana would be in the top five. Although it's not as boring as Podgorica, there's not much to see here. However, there are not many special tourist attractions in the city. Instead, the surrounding cities each have their own characteristics. Most of the attractions here are centered around Skanderbeg Square, with only the Bunker Museum being a bit far away. ✈️ How to get there You can get to Tirana by bus or plane. There are direct buses from many neighboring countries, and I entered from Montenegro. There are currently no direct flights from China, so you can only transfer in Europe, but the connecting flight is very cheap, only about 20 euros. Also, I would like to remind you to try to enter the country by land, because sometimes Chinese tourists are repatriated from Tirana Airport for no reason. 🗺️ What to do Most of the attractions in Tirana are located near Skanderbeg Square in the city center, and it is enough to walk around in one day. 1️⃣ Skanderbeg Square Located in the center of Tirana, it is the largest square in Albania named after the Albanian national hero Skanderbeg. The Skanderbeg equestrian statue in the middle is a popular spot for many tourists, and many attractions in Tirana are around this square. If you come to Tirana, you must not miss this attraction. 2️⃣ National History Museum The National Museum of Albania, located in the north of Skanderbeg Square, displays cultural relics from various periods from the Roman era to the Hoxha era. The ticket price is 500 lek. 3️⃣ Bunker Museum This is also called the Underground Bunker Museum. There are two bunker museums in Tirana. This one is located in the suburbs and the other one is located in the city center. This is a huge anti-nuclear underground project built in the 1970s, which is an anti-nuclear shelter for Hoxha and senior generals of Albania. Many things inside are very nostalgic, especially many items were aid from China at that time, and they are all written in Chinese. If you only go to one place in Tirana, come here, it's absolutely shocking. 4️⃣ Resurrection Cathedral This is a Byzantine-style Christian church, less than one kilometer from the square. The interior of the church is very beautiful and you can visit it for free. 5️⃣ Dajti Mountain It's a bit like the South Mountain in Urumqi, you need to take a cable car. The scenery on the mountain is not bad, and there are many abandoned bunkers on the mountain. If you stay in Tirana for a long time, you can go and see.
