Best view of Taipei 101

We went for a small hike at Xiang San hiking trail ( Mt Elephant) to catch the best view of Taipei 101. It was recommended by one of my Taiwanese friend, apparently all the Taiwanese like to come here to watch fireworks on new year because this is the best spot to enjoy the fireworks. This is a fairly easy hike, it’s about 10-15 minutes hike to the observation deck. There are two routes for you to choose, the one on the left is easier and the one on the right is more challenging, but both routes will eventually lead you to the same endpoint. Unfortunately, this place is not wheelchair friendly, it’s mainly stairs and it can be quite steep at some parts. I personally enjoyed the hike, I think partly also because of the cool weather. Remember to bring more water to hydrate yourself, it is really worth climbing up because the view there is really phenomenal. I highly recommend this place if you haven't been to Taipei! One more bonus point is that I also managed to see a lot of rare birds, I didn't manage to capture the photos but it is very recognizable. The body is blue with long tail, like the bird zazu from Lion King.
