The Emperor Showa Memorial Museum

#2024wish The museum tells the 87-year life of Emperor Showa. The museum staff is very gracious to show me around the museum, starting with an 8-minute video chronicling the highlights of Emperor Showa's reign. Photographs aren't allowed to be taken inside, but as far as I remember, there are glass displays adjacent to the walls. Each panel contains clothings, table ware, office items, postcards, biological laboratory items, and others. At the center of the room are the miniature display of the Emperor's convoy, the official car of the Emperor with the chrysanthemum logo in it, and the map of his state-visits via ship from Asian cities to the European ones.
