Classical Gothic Church - Trinity Church

The Trinity Christian Church is located at No. 219 Jiujiang Road, Huangpu District, Shanghai. It was established in the fifth year of Emperor Tongzhi of the Qing Dynasty (1866). The interior and exterior of the Trinity Christian Church are both clear water red brick walls, hence it is commonly known as the 'Red Church'. The plane is a Latin cross, the facade uses a high middle and low sides composition, divided into three sections by three rows of continuous arch columns, pointed arch windows, the top is decorated with 'round collar' ceiling, the structure of the roof frame is exposed. The original outdoor aisle has been filled, and the bell tower was destroyed in 1966. In the 19th century, the high point along the Bund in Shanghai was the Trinity Church, which is one of the important churches in modern Shanghai architecture. The Trinity Church has undergone several constructions and renovations, and it is currently the third-generation church. The construction of the church has experienced difficulties, but through reinforcement and repair, the church still stands tall. The architectural style of the church is Gothic, using clear water red bricks and arch structures, and the bell tower was built after the main building. I wanted to go in and take a look, to understand a bit, but the security guard at the gate did not let me in, it's a pity.
