Palace of San Telmo - Seville, Spain

This landmark of Seville is located next to the Royal Tobacco Factory. Palace of San Telmo was built with funds from the Inquisition in 1682 to house a college of sailors. In 1849, the building became the residence of Infanta Maria Luisa Fernanda, the youngest daughter of the Spanish King Ferdinand VII, and her husband, thanks to whom the construction of the northern tower, the east wing and the ballroom were completed. The new rooms were decorated with carvings and gilding, and their walls were decorated with paintings brought from the Vistalegre Palace in Madrid. This is one of the most beautiful buildings in the city of Seville! At the moment, it is the residence of the administration of the autonomous community of Andalusia. #europetrip
