Qinhuangdao Port Museum

Qinhuangdao Port Museum is located at No. 13, Nanshan Street, Haigang District, Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province. The original site is a national key cultural relic protection unit - the former site of the Qinhuangdao Senior Staff Club of Kailuan Mining Bureau. The museum's permanent exhibition is divided into two parts: an outdoor exhibition area and an indoor exhibition hall. The outdoor exhibition area mainly features the main locomotive of Qinhuangdao Port in the 1980s and 1990s - the "Shangyou 1115" steam locomotive. There are five exhibition halls indoors, and the exhibition content is divided into four themes: port origin, ancient Jieshi Port, modern self-opened port, and modern hub port. The exhibition adopts forms such as graphic display, cultural relic exhibition, model demonstration, 3D animation, and scene reproduction to display the port workers' movement and port construction and development process under the leadership of the Party. The exhibits and exhibitions of the museum not only show the history of Qinhuangdao Port since its opening and construction in 1898, but also fill the gap of Qinhuangdao as a century-old port city without a port museum, and also become a new highlight of Qinhuangdao's urban industrial tourism and a new base for patriotic education.
