Qingdao Weekend Getaway with Kids - Xiang'er Mountain

🚗: Located on Shenzhen Road in Licang District, Xiang'er Mountain is a great place for a weekend getaway with friends and kids. ✅ The mountain gets its name from the elephant ear-shaped rock on its summit. Here, you'll find the original site of Kang Youwei's tomb and Kang Bridge. But the highlight is the playground's three large elephant slides, which are incredibly fun, especially the tallest one. ✅ You can hike up the mountain, which takes about half an hour to reach the top. The path passes by Kang Bridge and leads to a viewing pavilion at the summit. The climb is not difficult, as the mountain is only 160 meters above sea level. ✅ On your way back down, you'll pass the children's playground, home to the elephant slides 🛝, as well as a large square and sandy area. Kids can enjoy the slides, play in the sand, fly kites, or even play soccer if you bring one. Tips: Parking can be challenging. If possible, consider using alternative transportation to avoid parking hassles. Suggested visit duration: 2-3 hours. Not recommended for adults only. Lunch: Yang's Zibo Barbecue, located about 10 minutes away, offers delicious and affordable food. A meal for 8 adults and 6 children costs less than 500 yuan.
