Afterward, whether you take Bus No. 618 or the sightseeing bus, you will arrive at the Yangkou Scenic Area. Here, you can experience the fun of taking the cable car up the mountain. A one-way ticket costs 35 CNY, and you can enjoy the magnificent view of the mountain and sea (Figures 11–16). If your physical condition allows, you can choose to continue to the summit and then hike down, passing by Wanshou Peak and Taiping Palace along the way. After descending the mountain, take the sightseeing bus from Yangkou Scenic Area back to the starting point, Dahe Dong Station, to end your one-day Laoshan Mountain trip. This itinerary allows you to enjoy both the natural scenery of Laoshan Mountain and the unique charm of the fishing village, making it an excellent choice for a one-day trip in Qingdao.
