I made a special trip to see two century-old ginkgo trees on the weekend.

I didn't expect that after so many years in Qingdao, it was my first time to check in at Dashi Temple. Dashi Temple is located in the Wushan Mountains in Laoshan District. It is a national 3A-level scenic spot and a forest park in Qingdao. It is more convenient to drive there, and there are free parking spaces. However, there are not many parking spaces, so it is a good idea to come here on weekends. Dashi Temple was built in the Northern and Southern Dynasties and expanded during the Zhengde and Jiajing periods of the Ming Dynasty. It has a history of nearly a thousand years. The scenery here is beautiful, and the four seasons are distinct. In spring, there are azaleas all over the mountains, in summer, there are blue seas and blue skies, in autumn, there are golden ginkgo trees, and in winter, there are plain clothes and silver. Especially the two ancient ginkgo trees in front of the temple gate, which are more than 500 years old, are just right for this season.
