Visiting the Mazu Temple in Tianjin brought peace to my heart. Mazu is of significant importance in the hearts of many, representing compassion, protection, and tranquility. When people visit Mazu with sincere devotion, they often find solace and strength in their souls, and feeling at peace is a natural response. The Tianjin Mazu Cultural Park is located in the tidal flats of Caijiapu Village, Yingcheng Town, Binhai New Area, Tianjin, adjacent to the Tianjin Central Fishing Port, Bohai Sea, and the Aircraft Carrier Theme Park's eastern seawall, with Haibin Avenue to the north. The project was developed and constructed in cooperation between the Binhai New Area of Tianjin and the Lan Gong of Dajia Town, Taichung County, Taiwan, and was inaugurated in September 2009. The park covers an area of about 0.5 square kilometers, with a total investment of about 4 billion yuan, and the construction period is expected to be 8 to 10 years. The Tianjin Mazu Cultural Park is divided into two phases of construction. The first phase mainly includes the construction of the Mazu Cultural Park and related facilities, such as the Mazu Temple, Mazu Langyuan, etc.; the second phase involves the construction of the Mazu Business and Trade Park, including commercial and residential buildings, folk art streets, etc. As an important outcome of the exchange and cooperation between Tianjin and Taiwan, the Tianjin Binhai Mazu Cultural Park project has received support from the Taiwan Mazu Fellowship Association and the Lan Gong Foundation of Dajia Town, Taichung, Taiwan. After the completion of the park, visitors can experience the rich Mazu culture and taste authentic Taiwanese cuisine in the Tianjin Binhai Mazu Cultural Park, becoming a new feature of Binhai tourism. The architectural feature of the Tianjin Mazu Cultural Park is the 42.3-meter-high Mazu statue, equivalent to the height of a 14-story building, assembled from 858 stone blocks, making it the tallest Mazu statue in the world to date. Its significance lies in the Mazu folk belief of Tianjin, which echoes the Mazu faith in Taiwan. Originating from river and sea transport, it has a history of nearly 700 years and is an important part of Tianjin's historical and cultural heritage. The Tianjin Binhai Mazu Cultural Park can become a new carrier and platform for economic, trade, and cultural exchange and cooperation between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait, as well as between Tianjin and the countries along the 'Maritime Silk Road'.
