To date, there are 53 well-preserved Tulou, some at the foot of the mountain, some by the stream, and some dotted in the fields. Tulou come in various shapes, including the common round and square, as well as unique styles such as stilted houses, bamboo houses, and mansion-style Tulou. Among them, the famous Heguilou, built during the Yongzheng period of the Qing Dynasty, is a square Tulou built on a swamp. It has stood as solid as a rock for more than 200 years and is known as the "First Wonder of the World". It is also the prototype of Qiu's home in the movie "Big Fish and Begonia", which makes people yearn for it. Huaiyuanlou is famous for its exquisite architecture. It is the best-preserved double-ring round Tulou. The large ring is used for living, and the small ring is used as a school. The layout is reasonable and the functions are complete. 🌳 In the village, there is also a banyan tree group composed of 13 giant ancient banyan trees. This is the largest and most concentrated group of ancient banyan trees in Fujian Province. One of the old banyan trees has a wide canopy, covering an area of 1933 square meters. Its branches are long, reaching more than 30 meters. The trunk needs more than 10 adults to hold hands to embrace it, making it the largest banyan tree currently found in Fujian Province. A century-old street and a thousand-year-old ancient road pass through this banyan tree group. The ancient road is carefully paved with smooth cobblestones.
