Beat the Heat at Klong Klai

Klong Klai is a natural canal originating from the Krung Ching forest, located on the high mountains within Khao Luang National Park and Khao Nan National Park in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. Klong Klai is a significant indicator of the area's rich natural resources. The rapids at Klong Klai are not large or dangerous, with difficulty levels ranging from 1 to 2. There are two rafting routes: Pak Klong Phitam to Lan Hin Dan, a 5-kilometer route taking about 1 hour, and Pak Klong Phitam to Ban Thung Nai, a 9-kilometer route taking about 3 hours. Overall, the rafting journey takes approximately 4 hours, navigating through beautiful rock formations and cliffs. Enjoy thrilling rapids such as Hin Mon Rapids, Chong Puen Rapids, Pra Rapids, and Yanad Rapids. The cost for rafting activities is 250 baht for adults and 150 baht for children. To get there from Nakhon Si Thammarat city, follow Highway 401 to Na Reng Intersection, turn left onto Route 4140, and continue to Na Phitam District, approximately 60 kilometers. Then, turn right onto Ban Pak Long Road, continue to Huai Phan Intersection for 16 kilometers, and turn left into Na Phitam Village for about 8 kilometers to reach the rafting starting point.
