With three phones connected to the hotspot throughout the day, we had more than enough data for a week. It seemed that at the airport, such a card would cost $30. We took a taxi to Nadi's biggest market for $6. In Fiji, markets don't use scales; vegetables and fruits are sold by the plate. We purchased eggplants, green beans, loofahs, and okra. These items would be considered upscale in New Zealand. We also discovered green, sweet, and soft bananas, evoking memories of Hainan. We bought beef, canned tuna, rice, noodles, and eggs, and happily returned home. Although we skipped the major tourist attractions, we deeply immersed ourselves in the daily life and local culture of the Fijians. The young girl, overheated, exclaimed, "I'm so glad we live in New Zealand!"
