Ghibli Museum

#2024wish The Ghibli Museum is the animation and art museum of Miyazaki Hayao's Studio Ghibli. It is one of the Japan's most famous animation studios. They produced many feature length films, such as My Neighbour Totoro, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away and Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea. The museum is a must see for all fans of the films. The first floor of the museum exhibits the history and techniques of animation and has a small theater which shows short movies by Studio Ghibli. There is a cafe, children's play area, rooftop garden and a gift shop. The museum can be reached from Mitaka Station on JR Chuo Line from Shinjuku Station. There are shuttle buses from station to the museum. Tickets are not sold on site. You need to purchase in advanced.
