Ehime｜Luxurious Dogo Onsen Water at Route Inn Matsuyama

Business hotels are stepping up their game, offering not just convenience, comfortable beds, and affordable prices, but also increasingly refined additional services. During my stay in Matsuyama, I initially planned to visit Dogo Onsen and chose a hotel based on simplicity and convenience. To my surprise, Route Inn Matsuyama boasts modern decor, rooms with a separate sofa area, and air purifiers. The highlight, however, is the public bath that uses Dogo Onsen water, which is significantly larger than the actual Dogo Onsen. The amenities, including lotion and toner, are from the premium brand Kose, elevating the overall experience. The breakfast the next morning was equally impressive. Featuring over ten dishes served in small portions, the spread included onsen eggs, ham salad, hot dogs, lotus root fritters, fried chicken, tea rice, various side dishes, and freshly baked bread. The diverse and hearty options provided travelers with ample energy to start their day. The spacious restaurant with plenty of seating meant no waiting in line for breakfast. Located on Katsuyama Street, the hotel is just a short walk from the tram station.
