solo travel in Central Asia

Heres a picture of me doing the Alay Trek by myself - i used my trekking pole as a selfie stick for the gopro. Yay ingenuity! I say solo but honestly it rarely is. You start off solo but then along the way, you meet people who most of the time, will wave and smile. Sometimes, you’ll team up for a few days and then separate. This hike in particular was something special because I was invited in for food and chai so many times by the locals I met along the way (one time i nearly died but thats on me).
