Cozy Izakaya in Kyoto 🐙

#eatlikealocal We recently visited a small, newly opened izakaya in Uzumasa Katsuragicho, Ukyo Ward, Kyoto, and it was such a gem! When we walked in, it was filled with locals, and even though they spoke a little English, the owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming. She helped us place our order, using a translator to communicate, making the experience feel even more personal. The food was amazing—be sure to try the rice with caviar and the spring rolls with eel and rice. It was the perfect spot to enjoy authentic Japanese dishes in a cozy, local setting.
