In the eighth year of Tang Dezong Zhenyuan, Taoist Cai Mingjun and temple monk Shoujing jointly expanded the temple. At the end of the Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, Zhang Dingbian, a brave general of Chen Youliang, also fled to this mountain to become a monk, known as the Muxiang Zen Master, and built a new temple on the mountainside.
