Qingyuan - Sunrise at the Thousand-Year Yao Village

On the way back from Yunbing Mountain, we took a detour to the Thousand-Year Yao Village, a place that everyone on the internet seems to avoid. We didn't have high hopes when we went there. But the sunrise was really stunning. It seems to have snowed recently due to the drop in temperature, and there is still snow on the tiles, which might make it even more beautiful. 🎫Tickets: We bought a single ticket for 80 yuan (just the ticket) on site. There are also other combo tickets available, including those for the soup fire evening party or dance performance. The prices vary and you can choose according to your preference. The schedule is in the last picture for reference. 🏠Accommodation: The scenic area is basically old houses turned into guesthouses. Some are well renovated. You can compare and choose. We suggest paying more attention to the room facilities before deciding to check in. We had a bad experience and had to change rooms in the middle of the night. If you want to watch the sunrise, you can choose a guesthouse with a good orientation. You can watch the sunrise without leaving the house! Now in winter, the sunrise is towards the southeast, and the sunrise time is between 6:30 and 7:00. You can check the orientation and time in advance. However, watching the sunrise on the steps in the village is also very beautiful, with layers of mountains, it's absolutely breathtaking, and you won't regret getting up early! 🥩Food: There are quite a few restaurants in the scenic area, and the breakfast is also very good, basically all fresh local food, and the prices are very reasonable. 🎡Tour: It takes about one to two hours to stroll around the entire village. If you take your time, it will take about a morning. The village doesn't have much in the way of entertainment facilities, it's suitable for a leisurely walk. We don't highly recommend making a special trip, but you can combine it with other nearby attractions. The sunrise is the most beautiful time, don't miss it if you go!
