Visiting Istanbul, the one street you must stroll is definitely Istiklal Street, which is Istanbul's 'Champs-Élysées'. / ⭕️ 'About Istiklal Street': Originally named Pera Avenue, Istiklal Street is located in the historic Beyoğlu district and is Istanbul's most famous pedestrian shopping street. It was renamed to commemorate the victory of the War of Independence and the establishment of the Republic, with one end connecting to Taksim Square and the other to Tunel Square. / ⭕️ 'Tram': The most beautiful scenery on Istiklal Street is the red tram, known as the 'ding ding car', that travels down the street. The tram goes from one end of the street to the other and then back again. It stops at many stations along the way, which is a perfect time for taking photos. Of course, it is recommended to take a ride on the tram, just swipe a transit card, 17 lira per person. Local kids also like to hang on to the tram, chasing after it as it moves.
