🔔Introduction: The Hanging Temple is located on the west side of the Jinxia Gorge of Hengshan in Hunyuan County, Datong City, nestled between the cliffs of Cuiping Peak. Originally named 'Xuankong Pavilion', the temple got its name 'Hanging Temple' because it appears to hang on the cliff, and 'hanging' is a homophone for 'xuan' in Chinese. It was built in the year 491 AD and is a unique temple where Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism coexist. ---- 📷Tour Guide: The scenic area is not large. After entering with your ticket, you can see the Hanging Temple on the cliff to your right. There are three best spots for taking pictures: ✅The entrance at the bottom of the Hanging Temple Here you can take a close-up view of the entire Hanging Temple. 🌟If you plan to climb up, you can enter from here with a ticket. The climbing fee is 100 yuan. For safety, the number of climbers is limited, so you may have to queue for a long time during peak season. ✅'The World's Great Spectacle' Stele Past the climbing entrance, walking deeper into the valley, you will see 'The World's Great Spectacle' stele. From here, you can take a long-distance photo of the entire Hanging Temple.
