Haining: Another Cultural Landmark - Haining Gazetteer Museum Opens.

The Haining Gazetteer Museum is located at No. 3 Cangji Street, north of the former residence of Xu Zhimo. It was renovated from part of the Xu family's old house, a municipal cultural relic protection unit. The total investment is more than CNY 3.4 million. The project was implemented in two phases. The current area is 989 square meters, and the total construction area is 1,163 square meters. The Haining Gazetteer Museum combines text, pictures, and physical objects to vividly display the history, economy, culture, and other local conditions and the development of the gazetteer to the public from multiple angles. The Haining Gazetteer Museum is not only a unique landmark in the Xieshi Scenic Area, but it will also become a new cultural landmark in Haining, fully playing the role of the main position for preserving gazetteer books and spreading gazetteer culture.
