If you're lucky, you might get a spot close by, but if not, you might have to circle around for a while to find a spot. It's recommended to wait at the train viewing point in advance because it gets very crowded. If you go early, you'll get a clear view of the train. I highly recommend visiting this spot. Photos are beautiful, but seeing it with your own eyes is even better.
