Wudang Mountain's premier Taoist temple, the Xuanyu Jade Void Palace, is worth a visit

🉑️ The sense of history is so strong! And there's no admission fee~ It's only a 15min walk from the Wudang Mountains scenic area~ The Jade Void Palace, officially known as the 'Xuanyu Jade Void Palace' and commonly referred to as the 'Old Camp Palace', is said to have been named by the Jade Emperor as the 'Jade Void Xiangshi' after the True Martial God ascended to heaven. Therefore, after the construction of the Jade Void Palace, it was designated by Emperor Yongle as the 'Xuanyu Jade Void Palace'. The ruins of the Jade Void Palace are one of the largest palaces in the Wudang Mountain complex, located at the foot of the southern hill of the old camp, about 4 kilometers west of Xuan Yue Gate. The Xiangyu Railway runs across in front of the palace. The existing buildings and ruins mainly include two palace walls that are 1036 meters long, two stele pavilions, the foundations of five halls in Li Yuecheng, and the reconstructed Parent's Hall, Cloud Hall, as well as the ruins of the East Heaven Gate, West Heaven Gate, and North Heaven Gate from the Qing Dynasty. These remaining ruins still have a strong appeal and are very much worth seeing today.
